The ancient Egyptian civilization came into being through the advantages provided forth by its natural environment. One of the most important things to consider in the explanation of the region’s civilization is the usefulness of the Nile River. The ancient civilization of Egypt, though supported by other natural environmental factors such as proximity to other countries like Syria and the present day Sudan, the annual flooding of the Nile River provided a reliable access to rich soil that helped inhabitants of ancient Egypt to grow crops. It is through agricultural production that the ancient Egypt civilization attained its economic growth and empowerment more than its neighbors. Indeed, the Nile River and the Red Sea are among the environmental advantages that enabled the region to expand trade networks, thereby enhancing early civilization of Egypt.

Another important aspect that shaped the realization of ancient Egyptian civilization is religion. As early as 1300 BC, the leadership of the Pharaoh was considered divine. During this time, people held the belief that the Pharos had spiritual powers. Upon the death of the King, Egyptians beloved they became gods and mediated between the people and other many other gods worshiped by the people. Ancient civilization of the region was shaped by these religious thoughts as burial for Kings called for design of various artistic works such as the creation of pyramids that the present day Egypt prides herself of as major research and tourist sites.

During ancient Mesopotamia, writing and literacy played the role of enlightening individuals into the creation of various innovations that facilitated agricultural success. Similarly, writing and literacy played a significant role in ensuring that ancient civilization in Egypt came into being through the understanding of religion and the role it plays in society.
