how an individual or the entire society can manage stress

Stress can be defined as a feeling that a person or group can be struggling to cope with challenges that may be related to work, finance, environment, relationship, or any other situation (Seaward, 2017). Stress can be felt individually where a person can perceive the real situation as he/she tries to compare with the imagined challenge. The human body has its natural defenses to deal with stress against both actual cases and imaged challenges (Seaward, 2017). The agency has its intelligent system of operating were the external threat causing the pressure, and the perceived life reacts together. The body produces a lot of chemicals that deal with different types of stress. This paper explores how an individual or the entire society can manage stress. It also explains various kinds of stress and gives an example way of how to manage stress.

Managing stress can be complicated because of the three types of stress. These types of stress require a different level of intervention for an individual to manage them. The nature of the environment on lives in modifies the kind of stress an individual is like to have (Seaward, 2017). These three types of stress include acute anxiety, which occurs after a traumatic event that, if not attended to as soon as possible, may result in post-traumatic disorder.

It is majorly caused by reactive thinking (Gold & Roth, 2013). Reactive thinking can be referred to as negative predominate to events and situations. Its occurrence is caused by a short time coming event of a case — for instance, one thinking of an upcoming work deadline.

Symptoms and effects of acute stress include; transient emotional stress, which is usually a combination of emotional stress, depression, irritability, and anxiety. People suffering from severe stress may avoid thinking the previous events. Secondly, a person expects muscular distress because of the headache, unable to concentrate, sleep, back pain, neck pain, irritability, which can either be verbal or physical; they are ever and fatigue. (Gold & Roth, 2013). These can lead to pulling of the muscles causing ligament and tendons problems. Thirdly, the stomach and bowel problem starts to be seen. Acute stress is present in anyone’s life and can be easily treated and managed. Generally, the trauma events may include the death of a loved one, sexual abuse, or death threats resulting in depression hence the acute stress. It can be diagnosed at an early stage.

Episodic Acute Stress, people suffering from acute stress and whose lives present with frequent triggers burden. Persons who experience severe stress are likely to bring chaos and crisis. These people feel pressure to take up responsibilities because they cannot stay organized on time demands (Gold & Roth, 2013). The most common symptoms and the effect caused by episodic acute stress the extended frequent arousals, which cause damage and suffering.

The implication is that these people develop a short-tempered habit and are impatient. It is easy to break relationships with these people, for instance, in the workplace. Such people are most likely attacked by post-traumatic disorder and pressure. Treatment of episodic acute stress requires interventions for many levels and requires professional scanning (Gold & Roth, 2013).

The chronic stress is the most harmful type and can be left untreated for the most extended period. It involves physical health problems and deterioration of your mental health (Seaward, 2017). Chronic stress can, therefore, suppress immune systems, reproductive and digestive systems, speeds up the rate of heartbeat hence leading to depression — for instance, the unemployment problem and poverty problem, which can lead to further emotional feelings. One can feel hopeless because he/she cannot escape from the problem (Gold & Roth, 2013). The behaviors and conditions of people living with such stress are ingrained.

There is an evident change in the body and brain, sleep difficulties, blood pressure, heart attacks, and problems with reproduction, which makes the person always prone to stress effects of the body. Chronic stress has both emotional and physical symptoms. Psychological symptoms include; feeling of loneliness, still pessimistic, anger, lack of concentration, and having a low mood. The physical symptoms include; chest pains, constipation, dizziness, and frequent colds.

In this article by Mayo Clinic (2018), Post-traumatic stress disorder is defined as a health condition that is triggered by certain terrifying events such as flashbacks and severe anxiety of uncontrollable thoughts. This is the chronic stage, where they think they cannot be controlled. In some ways, mobile phones are causing stress for various individuals. Research shows that excessive use of mobile phones causes anxiety, which can cause stress. Anxiety can also lead to poor mental and physical ailments (Gold & Roth, 2013).

In the process of recruiting these individuals, we will consider two factors, gender, and age. For instance, we pick four individuals, two males and two females. All persons have different maturities. For example, the young male is 12years, and the older is 28 years. On the contrary side, the female side, the ages are 14 and 26 years consecutively. I then used my physiology mind ability to measure the results.

In my observation and outcomes from their point argument, all the individuals have different ways to cope and treat traumatic events when they happen. For the showcase, a young female will tend to take more of good self-care in comparison to female at 26 who seem to have lots of thoughts and feelings about a past event. This also may change from time to time. Therefore, I find this good for her interface with the day-to-day functioning. I have ever tried this technique to manage my stress. I remember my parents had given me all my 5years course fees.

For a long time, I went spent three-quarters of the money on drinking. One day I realized the money was almost finished. I was stressed since I could not ask for another one from my parents. The little that remained, I decided to visit Miami Beach with my friend’s car that he lends to me. Lots of emotions were running across my head, and I was wondering what I was going to college with. Before I began my journey to Miami, my life had become so dull and seemed that I was like getting depressed every time I thought of my state.

When I visited the Beach, I relaxed for a few hours. Before this exercise, I was stressed as I thought that I had messed up with the rest of my life. My mind was now very fresh, and I could now start thinking about how I could introduce the entire story that had happened to my parents. During this period, my emotions went down, and after relaxing, I could gently think about what quiet life in school I could have had. My physical body was now relaxed, and I felt energetic. It was an excellent experience. Immediately after the exercise, my physical body, as well as the mind, was now set to begin a new life.

In conclusion, I found this technique too helpful in managing stress. It is a cheap technique that I would advise most of my friends a well my relatives and family members to use. In my case, I think it was the best experience that I would recommend anyone to use. It is cheap as there are no costs involved and one is like to enjoy and relax. So we need to get support to prevent these stress reactions. The help from friends or family is so helpful, and they avoid our turning to unhealthy thinking and coping; hence can cause wrong thinking, for example engaging in alcohol or drugs.
