As a result, people have developed fears of the virus leading to the discrimination of the Asian community. Besides, fear and lack of education have fuelled racist sentiments with the Asian community being targeted around the globe. Discrimination and racism being posed to the Asian community around the world have affected the global economic system. Lack of education and fear of the Coronavirus has fuelled racist sentiments that target the Asian community around the world leading to health and economic effects.

There is no excuse for any racial discrimination since it is a nonsense matter. Though racism is awful, it still takes place in different ways to the ethnic groups as people play jokes, express negative comments towards other nations, leave negative comments, and abuse people physically, amongst other bad influences. Fear and racism towards the Chinese people have been experienced as attacks are being propagated towards the Asian people. To some, the Coronavirus originated from Wuhan China, and to others from the seafood market that was trading bats. Sources have raised the close connection between Coronavirus the SAR virus experienced in the year 2003. During outbreaks of diseases, the attacks on marginalized groups have become a norm and not an exception. The discourse increases the xenophobia and racism are based on the behaviors of Asian people and are made suspicious and termed as being at fault for spreading the Coronavirus. Both diseases are from the coronavirus family, and both originated from the wet markets. The wet market has been termed as markets where dead and live animals are kept in close contact with people or traders and buyers in the market. The inaccurate news on the spread of Coronavirus and the Asian community is being used to spread fake news causing panic in the US and around the globe.
