Explain how Odysseus’s “cunning trickery” allows him to survive his encounter with Polyphemus

Odysseus is known for using lies to get an objective. Most of Odysseus’s cunning trickery was confirmed when he encountered Polyphemos. Zeus, the immortal god, had said that Odysseus had wit, but it was upheld after using it to survive his encounter with the giant. Odysseus’s mind was great to the extent of formulating different tricks in different situations. He encountered Polyphemos, who almost got help. To avoid the giant getting a successful help, Odysseus told the giant his name, “I am Nohbdy, my mother, father, friends, and everyone calls me Nohbdy.”

Odysseus’s flaws traits are revealed when he encounters Polyphemos. However, these flaws are the ones he uses to survive the giant. Odysseus knows that he cannot ponder a more moral answer since what will only work is trickery. His traits are barbaric when he encounters the giant since he can only neutralize threats from the giant barbarically since the threats were barbaric. These cunning traits define Odysseus as realistic. For example, he got the giant drunk as a trick to survive its encounter.

Summarize the connections between Thera and the “lost island of Atlantis” (mentioned by Plato)

Plato told the story of Atlantis almost 360 B.C., according to Plato, people who found Atlantis were half-god and half-human. These people became a significant naval after developing a utopian civilization. Thera, which is today called Santorin, according to Plato, is connected to Atlantis. He explained the catastrophe of Minoan civilization. He proceeds to state that those who lived on the island, which was prosperous beyond the Pillars of Hercules, were prosperous since the island had gold and silver. According to Plato, the island lies in the Atlantic Ocean, probably between Europe and America. He showed his concepts and discoveries on the ancient civilization in his works, including Critias and Timeous, using the debates and conversations as recorded and cited by philosophers. In Platos dialogues, Solon was the main character who traveled to Egypt and got the story about Atlantis and its connection to Thera from a priest. The priest was explaining the significant advances of the city and its substantial apocalyptic demise. According to the story from the priest, Plato believed that Thera, currently Santorini, was the ancient civilization of Atlantis. Most scientists and philosophers take Platos ideas to be true due to his physical and topographical explanation of Atlantis, and they believe that Thera is Atlantis.
