Raced- based inferences stereotypes have been quickly inactivated and activated.  A person’s race has to be noticed as well as remembered before activation of a racial stereotype, and at times, racially motivated behavior takes place.  From a personal perspective, the race is described as a grouping of human beings that is based on shared social or physical qualities in categories that are viewed to be distinct by the community. Discrimination should not be used when describing the term race (Huang et al. n.d). Discrimination is illegal when it comes to race, and all people should respect racial differences.

  1. Are teachers in your society racists subconsciously, and do they mistreat the students by creating racist environments as they do not realize it?

Racism has been a pervasive problem in my society, and it has affected schools throughout the nation. Racism in schools has been found in the way the teachers interact with the students, and in the way, the students interact with each other.  In schools, racism has been described as a learned behavior.  The teachers tend to favor the students who are in the same race as theirs (Huang et al. n.d). They also have stereotypes of certain races, and they feel that students who come from these races are not worth getting educated.

  1. What could you suggest are the exclusive solutions to the subtle forms of racism in schools globally?

There are several solutions to help solve the issue of racism in school. The first is self- awareness. The teachers have to understand the intersections of ethnicity, gender, race, religion, and even sexual orientation. They have to understand that identification with a certain group affects students. Hence they should manage the differences in the school set- up. Professional development is also a solution to racism globally. The teachers must invest in professional development opportunities, and this is important in increasing cultural awareness. Cultural education should also be part of schools (Huang et al. n.d). The teachers could create learning opportunities that acknowledge ethnicity and race. They can prioritize preventing racism through social justice with culturally relevant teaching..

  1. What is the acceptance of social diversity?

From a personal level, diversity is the difference that is found in groups of people who are different in terms of culture, ability, gender, or even race. Acceptance of social diversity is a term that could be used to explain that instead of viewing the differences to be negative. The differences in the society have to be viewed as strengths, and they must add more flavor to people’s lives (Reilly n.d). Acceptance of social diversity teaches people to enjoy as well as respect the people who are from different backgrounds and races.

  1. How is gender related to culture?

Gender is defined as the system of knowledge that is shared by a large group of people. Many gender aspects are relevant and are related to culture. Culture is the way of life of a people. There are different roles that people of different genders are expected to take part in in the community (Reilly n.d). Women are taught in different roles, and males are taught in certain roles.  However, gender equality promotes creativity, heritage, and even cultural diversity.

  1. Are our traditions and cultures unchanging?

From a personal opinion, I think that traditions and cultures are never changing. Culture is believed to be a process, and it means that it is always going on. A process is never stagnant, and it is always in motion.  Culture is always about perfection.  Culture and traditions are mainly about retaining, creating as well as transferring.  Asides from that, culture is always progressive. Initially, human beings lived in rocks, caves, and even mud-built houses. Currently, they are living in houses built of marble, wood, glass, aluminum, and even granite houses (Reilly n.d). The developments have been due to the advancement in technology, and it means that the primary indicator of human civilization is culture. Traditions have still been present, and people still follow despite advancements in technology.

  1. Is there a chance for development initiatives to be gender-neutral?

The decisions that are made in planning are believed to be an initiative that shapes the type of effect that it has on the culture.  Gender equality has not been considered explicitly, and decisions have been made in the planning process, and this affects gender equality.  Initiatives that are based on development are gender-neutral.  For instance, an initiative by the government is concerned with reforms of the civil code (Reilly n.d). It could include public consultations, and it is available for people from all gender since they can access divorce, marriage, and even inheritance. Infrastructure initiatives also affect people from all genders, and that is why these initiatives are gender-neutral.

  1. How important is gender and cultural sensitivity?

Gender and cultural sensitivity have been important in my community. However, I have noticed that most people have been aware of how to stereotype different groups. Thus, the sensitivity ensures that people from different cultures and genders are treated equally, and they live normal lives.
