Information assurance and risk management
Information assurance and risk management, by definition, is the process of identifying and managing threats in any given organization, and assuring any processed data that is meaningful to the organization is safe and can be used for decision making. Not only will you learn about information assurance and risk management, but also you will be able to think as an Information Risk Analyst. This knowledge has deepened my understanding of threats and how to control them when they occur in a given organization. One of the surprising things I have realized during this course is that it is very vital to identify vulnerability issues when performing IT security assessment of information and managing risk in any given organization. Secondly, I have been able to gain knowledge on how to approach a threat to information security by applying the knowledge of risk assessment techniques.
Communication skills are one of the skills I have gained throughout this course. I will use these skills to make sure that everyone in the organization gets to understand any significant risks and the organization’s risk management strategy. This course has enabled me to be thorough and creative; this knowledge will help me right at problem-solving. These skills will help me to design risk management processes and solutions for the whole organization as risk management is a strategic business. I have also gained an awareness of vital information security principles regarding information confidentiality, integrity, and availability. I am now able to identify critical aspects of information risk and security management. These skills will help me to secure a career opportunity within an organization that relates to information security. I enjoyed this course, and I learned a lot from this course. I believe I am ready to work for any information security industry.
