Inhuman practices
The answer to the question ‘Are all humans human or others are more human than the other?’ is obvious, they are not human all. This is because when qualities and practices of various individuals all over the world are keenly looked at, it is right to conclude that some are abnormal. The assaults associated with the Rwanda Genocide are a good example to reveal that some actions always happen out of one’s consciousness. Romeo Daillaire poses this question to everybody existing on the planet regardless of age gender and ethnicity differences. There is a long history of violence being practiced at various corners of the globe. Reports about innocent people being murdered on daily basis are ever trading on air. The murders themselves can be used as a good example of humans that are less human than others. In addition, cases of sexual harassment in the society, workplace or anywhere else proves that some of humans referred to as humans are rather inhuman. The worst inhuman practices are carried out by the political leaders in higher positions. They give rules that are meant to undermine human peaceful existence. Political leaders are the most targeted group by Romeo Daillaire in the question about inhuman practices.
Romeo Daillaire’s decision about asking this question is because of his experiences about the Rwanda genocide (1994). Failure by all world leaders including the United Nation body to participate in ending the war and safe lives of a thousand citizens creates a great concern about inhuman practices. For I instance, Rwanda genocide was accompanied by massive sexual harassments both to women and young girls. A big number of Tutsi communities were individually raped; others gang-raped and others tortured with sharp objects in their private parts. This being not enough, killing of over 850 000 innocent people in a period of two weeks might also be some of the experiences of Romeo in inhuman practices. Apart from sexual malpractices in Rwandan genocide, Tutsi men were slaughtered like goats and their property looted. Various leaders and security organizations should have been interrupted to cease merciless killing. In addition to this, many people were forced to leave their homes and properties due to the hostile conditions in the country. This made many people scatter leading to lose of togetherness between relatives and even parents and children. Many children were hence not able to get parental care which is their right. This hostile people in the country went ahead to disturb the education progress of innocent children. This shows lack of humanity towards the future of these kids. The rights of children were still violated by men and gang stars who forced them to join the fighting in the different groups which finally led to them being subjected to the county’s law. The war still interfered with the economic growth of the country. It became hard to conduct businesses in the country hence lagging behind in terms of economy. This hence enhanced poverty among the citizens.
