Ethical Conceptual Framework
Provide an introduction to conceptual frameworks of the ethical constructs of ethical, moral, or legal standards.
Identify a moral, ethical, or legal issue or dilemma in which YOU were involved and had to act or react to a situation. Clearly identify the ethical conceptual framework which applies to this situation.

Analysis of the Dilemma
Provide a detailed description and analysis of the moral, ethical, or legal dilemma in which you were involved. Maintain anonymity of patients and colleagues. Why is this a moral, ethical or legal dilemma? Analyze the implications in this case.
- Ethical – Clearly identify the ethical principle(s) at stake in this case (eg., autonomy, justice, beneficence, non-maleficence) .
- Moral – If it is a moral issue, did it cause moral distress, moral outrage, or did it require moral courage?
- Legal – Is it a legal issue? Were laws or regulations at stake such as HIPAA, State Board of Nursing Scope of Practice?
Role of the Moral Agent
Describe YOUR role as a moral agent in the above situation. What is a moral agent? What were your actions and how did it serve the role of a moral agent? Could you have done something differently to be a better advocate? Analyze your actions or reactions
Personal Leadership Style
Consider your personal leadership style and preferred temperament type as identified by the Keirsey Temperament Sorter II.

- Examine how YOUR personal leadership style, traits, and Keirsey results and determine if your style and traits served as a barrier or facilitator in your role as an advocate in the dilemma described above in Criterion #2.
