Responses
Mattie, John and Liz described their typical day as an 8-hour day, with additional hours of flexibility. A registered nurse typically delivers medication to patients as well as treatment and assessing the health conditions of patients. Mattie added that she also works in doctors’ rooms as a consultant in the absence of doctors.
All of the interviewed nurses revealed their satisfactorily moments as when delivering help and helping improve patients’ lives. Most of the nurses admitted communicating to patients at personal levels—others go-ahead to talk to patients’ family members.
According to Liz, Mark and Mattie, it’s most challenging when unable to assist patience which is suffering. They described such situations to exist primarily when the patient cannot communicate effectively with the doctor about their problem. Liz recommended observation as a better method of collecting information from such patients.
The interviewed nurses stated that the nearly expected transformation in the healthcare sector is segmentation and the implementation of artificial intelligence systems. According to the respondents, segmentation would help in improving the delivery of healthcare, by segmenting nurses to their areas of expertise. The implementation of artificial intelligence would also enhance the delivery of healthcare but would have negative impacts on the jobs of registered nurses, such as reducing patient interaction and job replacements.
The respondents agreed on having attained an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in the field as a qualification for registration as a nurse. However, the respondents noted that performance indicators are used grade nurses according to performance, leading to promotions. The perform indicators are updated with performance records.
In a question that required a personal response, on the respondent’s profile, Jordan indicated that as an RN, one requires devotion and a positive mindset to maintain a high-ranking service profile. She further noted that flexibility is also essential in service delivery. This includes working at off-hours and assisting in extra activities and responsibilities.
According to the respondents, a registered nurse’ hourly salary ranges from 11 Euros to 20 Euros, according to ranks and experience.
