Lack of Service to South Campus
Executive summary
The below report is an analysis that will help in exploring the current state of transportation of the South part of the campus, which is currently lacking any form of public transport. The main areas to be embraced are the Mandavi buildings, King Hall (law school) and Gallager Hall. Out of embracing the below report, it will help us in creating a credible issue of accessibility that will be of importance on one section of the campus. There will also be an analysis of how many students are affected, mostly those with disabilities, and if there will be a demand for additional Unitrans route.
Conclusion
As we conclude on the above report, it is well evident that the South part has mostly been affected by the lack of any means of public transit that is a significant issue an essential part of the campus. Through our analysis, we have come to find out that there has been a substantial increase in student population, and out of this reason we have decided to explore the current transportation state. The methods of inquiry that we used in gaining more evidence and the necessary information required were such as conducting interviews on Unitrans members. We also took surveys on some of UC Davis students, other research methods that we used are means of secondary research by also doing a brief study on the costs associating with the addition of the Unitrans route. Out of our whole study of the reported study, we concluded that added to a bus or a shuttle would be very beneficial on the south campus for all students studying and using the buildings on that campus section.
