Language prejudice towards the Spanish and Latino

Language is used for socializing; people have to speak a common language to pass the message to one another, and if their language differs, then communication is a barrier. People use language to transfer cultural knowledge, which is stored in their brains. Language changes with the change in attitude, personal identity, intergroup bias, social perception, stereotypes, as well as attributes. Two people cannot communicate without language, and people cannot respond to each other without the use of language. When people talk, they can do psychological research, and the language role is to stimulate a response. Communication may be used either positively or negatively depending on the contest, the language used as well as the user. People use different language, and then they are not likely to communicate.

The use of a combination of Spanish and English phrases makes the whites to discriminate against the Spanish people due to the language. The difference in language use led to racialism, where the white has a racial shift towards the Spanish members. The nonwhites suffer because they are unable to speak in Standard English. The Spanish people, as well as Latino, usually speak when mixing their language in English, but the whites fear t loss their whiteness. The cultural diversity and language use is compared to Dragon tales, the story involves primary school adventure fantasy, and it is series which is mostly watched by children in a television program. The actor of this movie is a retired educator called Ron, and he had survived a graft for coronary artery, and he stretches a dragon symbolizing the life forces which a too large to control. The play involves two brothers who are Max, together with Emmy. The books show the ability of the Dragon to read the rhyme then moves them to the land of other dragons. The Dragon is befriended by four other talking dragons who are known to have a distinct character.

The Dragon and his four friends go to help other dragons to fulfill a quest, and these movies are usually enjoyed by children, as well as educates them of Hispanic culture. In the final season, there is a character called Enrique. He comes into the movie as the third protagonist. Friends with different styles surround the protagonist, and the characters are faced with unusual circumstances. Max, together with Emmy, gets along with the Dragon goes for adventure, and this helps them to conquer their fear, and through this, they can achieve their goals regardless of the situation.

The stereotype is created out of the language spoken by Hispanic as well as the color of their skin. The stereotype may have influenced more educated individuals. Those who get an education have higher chances of becoming stereotyped since education and stereotypes goes hand in hand. The higher the level of education a person receives, the higher the chances of getting stereotyped.

The minor people who get an education are expected to be sensitized by the stereotypes since they have experiences the minorities when it comes to racialism. Mexican America with education people was able to know their rights as well as run away from the stereotype, and this helps in reducing stereotypes. Those who never got an education are in the final part of the situation. Different in the institutions attended is determined by the language spoken as well as the skin color, the Spanish were not allowed to attend schools where the white since the whites had a great attitude towards them. The only time they are allowed to tangle with the whites is when the graduate is at 2.4, and if they had to interact with the whites there to explain their experiences as stereotypes.

Spanish people were discriminated against because of their language since if they spoke, they could not speak correct English; their skin color also contributed to the level of discrimination. The non-Hispanic parents reported cases of discrimination towards their children. Language discrimination concentrates mainly on the accents that the Spanish speak with, and since they are not able to pronounce words correctly, they are looked down upon by the whites. They teach themselves English as a second language, and they have few vocabularies when communicating. The level of education, social status, wealth, and traits also may lead to one being discriminated against. When one is discriminated against on the base of language, it is called linguism it is referred to as “ideologies and structure which are used to legitimate, effectuate, and reproduce unequal division of power and resources between groups which are defined based on language ”.language discriminations is referred to as language prejudice is the negative attitude towards certain people because of their style.

The culture of The Latino people was from a dragon tale, and the culture was passed to the children as they watched the movie, which amused them but still as very educative to them. On the stereotype, the educated people were to be stereotypical so that they could prove to fit in the class of the whites else he could be discriminated against like any other person.
