Fountain House was established in 1940 and had since worked around the clock to eliminate societal barriers that face mentally ill individuals. The organization doesn’t focus on the missing points but rather focus on the capabilities of these individuals to ensure they fully utilize their potential and become better people in the community.

For a long time now, Fountain House has worked tirelessly to ensure that mentally challenged people get the support they need to improve their lives. They developed a unique program, the Fall Fete that is held annually to raise funds that can help reach their goals. The money raised is then used in creating awareness of the mental problems and help reduce stigma in society. The individuals who become members of the Fountain House are guaranteed of many benefits, including better housing. Studies show that about 44 percent of homeless people in New York City suffer from chronic mental problems. Meaning mental illness is a great contributor to homelessness. Luckily, the organization has provided better housing facilities to its members. Similarly, Fountain House has ensured its members get quality education and attain degrees just like the other members of the society.

The organization has also been a great resource in guiding its members to lead a healthy lifestyle to help them take good care of themselves. Fountain House also to reduce unemployment rates among the mentally ill individuals. They have partnered with several companies in NYC that provide job opportunities to the members. Fountain House believes that isolating mentally ill individuals leads to the stigma, which in turn hinders their strengths. To achieve its goals, the organization partners with prominent members of society. Its board of Directors consists of successful business people and other great professionals like Lawyer Jeremy Goldstein. Since 2010, Jeremy as a served as a high key member of the associate committee to organize the annually held Fall Fete.

With great talent and knowledge, Lawyer Jeremy’s efforts have created a significant impact on Fountain House’s dedication to change the lives of mentally ill individuals. The attorney graduated with a stunning J.D from New York University as well as the School of Law. He further enrolled in the University of Chicago where he graduated with an exclusive M.A, and also earned another B.A from the University of Cornell. His outstanding academic qualifications led him to serve in one of the largest law firms in New York. After several years, Jeremy established his law firm, which now focuses on compensation committees and management groups dedicated to providing flexible solutions to corporate governance and executive compensation.
