Leadership and management are two different things that exist together. Both of them depend highly on each other for integrity and professionalism to be met.  However, many businesses regard the two as one thing. While mangers exist to do the planning, organizing as well as coordinating, leaders are known to render inspiration and motivation among people (Banaszak-Holl et al., 2015). An excellent example to illustrate the role of manager and leaders is a military hierarchy.  In the military, the manager can be termed as the general for the battlefield while the leader can be perceived to be the commander-in-chief. Therefore in the context of the pour case scenario of the nursing department, a human resource manager represents management while a doctor or a nurse is a leader. The apparent difference between leaders and managers is while leaders have people following them, managers have individuals who work for them. The success of the business in any sector must be accompanied by both sharp senses of management as well as leadership. These help the firm’s team to be on board to follow leaders and mangers towards the vision of success.

In most cases, leaders celebrate achievement and praise the team for the success and the occurrence of managers who always work to detect flaws for advancement and meet the highest standards of service. In that line, managers control a set of entities intending to achieve a goal. Leaders, on the other hand, influence, motivate, as well as enabling others to participate in the success of the organization people (Banaszak-Holl et al., 2015). The virtue of inspiration and influence isolate the aspect of leadership from management but not power and control. Proper management lures exceptional staff; they achieve a productive, efficient, and hard-working team in performance people (Banaszak-Holl et al., 2015). In short, managers serve to reduce costs incurred, add profit as well the increasing market share of an organization.

Management, as well as leadership, is essential for the delivery of exceptional health services. Healthcare leaders make an informed decision which helps in shaping caregiving. They enable the staff as well as the organization to perform maximally in the continuously evolving environment. Managers provide directions within health organizations.
