Abstract
Every individual has their strengths and weaknesses regarding achieving the organizational objective and their tasks. As a leader, recognizing these traits in the individuals enhances their performance since the leader can inspire the people about their capability. The weakness as a leader is lack of taking risks. This ability enables a leader to encourage the people below them and ensure that they grow and develop professionally. Any person that may be underperforming in their duties can get motivated through such leadership skills.
The team tends to prefer the institutions which are well managed and likely to accomplish the set plans. When a leader is incapable of fulfilling these needs, he or she can be replaced by the people under them for a more functional leader. The opportunity for a leader is to become more open to new ideas and strategies. The leader should be able to take risks and be the one who initiates change that relates to the social development of the society (Weber, 2016). The leader should also make sure that every member of the organization is well informed on the plan and they are capable of using any form of technology needed for the enhancement of public health. The same leader should look into ways that he or she can create awareness on the plan. This recognition can include the social media platform.
The same leader should also develop various contingency plans that can alleviate the crisis or minimize the negative impacts. This leader should also educate the followers on fast response action to any form of crisis to ensure that any damages are minimal. The leader should have emergency resources that can assist the organization in case any disaster takes place. Every step of the vision defined by the leader should be thoroughly assessed and evaluated.
Importance of the team having a common sense to support the vision and strategies of the organization
Development of a team spirit in workers to ensure that work is done to a maximum. The primary objective of any business firm is to maximize the profits. Workers can be motivated to work as a team by dividing them into groups that will enable them to specialize in the activities that they like doing most of the time. Then each group has a target that they aim to achieve every day. The leaders should come up with a reward strategy to reward the best team.
The leader should create social, recreational facilities where the worker will have more time to interact with one another. They can also have parties organized as an award to the achievement of the firm. This way the employees have more time with their colleagues, and they have time to understand each other more (Patterson, 2016). It is at such a moment that there is an opportunity to learn the preferences of fellow workers. When this happens, there is an increase in personal trust to one another. When you trust another person, you will feel secure working intimately with that person thus adding on the unity and solidarity of a business firm. The workers will not shy away from sharing their problems with others as they work seeking for solutions.
The workers can be motivated to put more efforts in their work also by giving them promotion opportunities in a free and fair way. There is an automatic boost of the work quality and quantity done by the employees (Regan, 2017). Everyone feels good to be promoted and getting a higher salary. Workers will want to be associated with their job this way since there is a guarantee of leading brighter lives in future. The employees will work hard so that during the assessment, they will qualify for the promotion.
Another way that employees can be motivated efficiently is by annual awards. Many organizations have come up with a strategy of rewarding the best worker in their team with a significant prize that everyone will desire to receive. There is also good feeling being the best teacher of the year 2017 celebrating the same glory throughout the year until another assessment.
Workers can be motivated caring for their issues as an organization. Mainly this happens as a uniting factor as other workers are encouraged to offer support to their colleague. A substantial amount of money gets collected when many workers come together and contribute a small amount each. Unity increases as the employees have an assurance that they will always get assistance when in need.
Workers motivation can also be through the management organizing free transport to the employees who may not have personal vehicles (More, 2015). It ensures that they get home safely in case they are late from work as they try to increase their output. Leaders should also consider their employees and allow them to go for job leave so that they have time to relax.
Strategic plans

In the coming years, this leader should continuously update the information they have on issues on products delivered.

Leaders can demonstrate the concepts and purposes of a company to the employees through various means. Such may include; memos, magazines, circulars or orally through meetings. The best way to communicate is by using both written and unwritten forms of communication. Written communication is essential as it gives room for future reference. Besides written interface such as a memo reaches all the employees even those who may be absent during an vital forum.
However oral communication is also critical in supplementing the written documents. The managers have a chance to emphasize on the critical issues in the vision where employees get to know the seriousness that is required to achieve to those strategies. The leader, in this case, will use an encouraging tone to motivate the workers into working in liaison so that success of the set objectives get achieved successfully. The reaction of the employees is an indicator whether the communication was appropriately done. A leader can easily observe when workers are not contented from their facial expressions and also their body language.
Importance of having a shared sense of purpose by the team
It is essential that leaders instill common sense of use to the employees through aspects of motivation so that the strategic plans and visions of the organizations get attained. When the employees are aware of the visions and the target goals of a team, all their effort are geared towards reaching those goals. For example, the coca-cola company is among the leading soft drink manufacturing companies in the world. Their vision is to be the best in the world and to provide the best quality to their customers. Since 1886 the group has been recording drastic growths because the workers are motivated by a common purpose of maximizing the profits.
The worker’s commitments get increased since their affairs are taken care of by the company’s management. They are assured of safety while working within the organization. They are also provided with necessary working equipment which improves the working conditions. Thus employees do not fear being affected by side effects which may attack their health. Common purpose sense ensures that there are no disagreements among employees and hence there is no wasted time as they argue for minor things
The role communication plays in establishing a shared sense of purpose
Excellent communication skills are also necessary for enhancing a team spirit in an organization. The managers should organize and employ experts to train the employees to have excellent communication skills. These skills are required in communicating with one another within the organization. Communication skills are also necessary for employees to deal with customers politely. When clients are sold with well, they will not hesitate to seek for similar services from the same firm.
Excellent communication skills are fundamental in establishing a common sense of purpose among the employees. Managers need to have these skills to encode information in the right manner so as harmonize all workers in the company. The workers will also need to have sufficient listening skills so that the communication process does not lead to distortion of information. The workers will also utilize their communications skills to add on to their unity as they work together. This way they motivate one another into working for a common purpose.
Through excellent communication skills, the employees and employers work in cohesion and ensure that work continues in the firm without any hitches. The workers can freely express their thoughts on how to improve the service delivery. They can also speak out their needs to the managers to be listened to. If for example the amount of salary that they get is not enough for their needs they can convince the employer to increase. When they can communicate work continues generally without workers striking or boycotting their job for a salary increment.
In conclusion, leadership and motivation of the workers are essential in business organizations. It helps in resource management and prevents wastage. The motivation of employees is necessary as it helps to find measures to be taken to improve the management performance.
