Since my childhood, being inquisitive by nature, I always used to inquire and ask questions from my parents and teachers. The ways human minds have done wonders have always surprised me, and it kindled in me an eagerness to develop knowledge, making me enthusiastic and passionate to read extensively and discover about the things surrounding me. Learning is a never-ending process, and I want to gain all possible understanding about a premise that interests me. Procurement and supplying materials at the right place in the required time is an integral part of any organization for smooth operation and sustained growth. By understanding the importance of supply chain management and developing the most feasible supplier and logistics fit, makes the operations of the organization tranquil and enriching. This intersection between logistics and vendors is a key area of interest which I am determined to build my knowledge and career in. And in my opinion, Masters from the UK is the best option to enhance my knowledge and advance my career. Even though it is quite demanding to face the challenges of a rigorous program in a different environment but I am determined to give my best to gain benefits of this postgraduate course and further, my parents have always been optimistic and encouraged me to chase my dreams that has driven me to come out of my comfort zone and study my masters in the UK.

During my graduation in mechanical engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University Kerala, I have aggregated a score of 6.68/10 (First Class). Even though my graduation gave me tremendous insight into the technical aspects of mechanisms, I developed an aptitude towards inventory management and various material flow techniques.

My first experience of an organisation was as a graduate apprentice at Travancore Titanium Products Limited, Trivandrum. From the interaction with the various departments, I understood the role of logistics in strategic sourcing of raw materials and the dispatch of finished goods. This experience further triggered my interest to gain more knowledge about supply chain management and operations. I then continued my studies in Operations from Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research along with my job as a graduate trainee in the Vendor Management department at C&S Electric Ltd, Delhi. Working with the local manufacturers to assess and support to improve the quality of materials and delivery time. I got firsthand experience as the department was new, and along with the assistance of the experienced seniors, we were able to perform the streamlining of vendors and omission of redundant suppliers. After a year, I moved to Oman as I got an opportunity with a small scale sourcing company. I chose this offer as I wanted to learn about the basics of review and approve purchase order placement and assist coordinators for accuracy and optimum delivery pricing. Also, this organization being involved in international sourcing, enhanced my knowledge about incoterms and export trading operations. And now, my intense desire is to embark on my journey for academic-progression and pursue MSc Supply Chain Management and Logistics in your prestigious university.

I have looked upon the brochures of your university that are conducting a degree in my field of interest. The professionally-recognised program will provide me the latest knowledge, skills, and competencies in the core areas of strategic supply chain management, logistics, sourcing, procurement, contracts, eCommerce, forecasting, and environmental management. The course is informed by the latest trends and addresses the escalating demands of employability skills in supply and logistics, thus will help me develop my industrial skills. Besides gaining a solid grounding in the core modules, the course will expand my expertise in critical thinking, analytical skill, and strategic management to make informed-decisions and the ability to implement the strategies across a broad range of functions in the organisation. The opportunity of work-placement will help me look at the broader aspect of business with an understanding of the ethical and legal aspects and insights into the different models of management and their relevancy within the organisation. With enhanced knowledge of concepts, tools, and techniques, I will be able to apply them to improve supply chain and logistical performance as well as address issues and manage improvements in supplier operations, logistical processes, and business systems. Further, the vast infrastructure and facilities provided by your university will surely widen my knowledge and improve my skills.

According to my ideology, every human being has a commitment towards the world, where I want to capture the maximum knowledge and experience possible so that a few years later, I could mentor many budding professionals.
