Popular music is everywhere, and it has different genres as well as sub-genres. Pop music is one of the most known genres of popular music that originated in the US and the UK. It is one of the most lovable as well as common music of all time. The music is commercially recorded and entails different types of music, such as love songs and rock songs. Pop music is usually short, and it is very appealing to the hearts of the listeners. There exist different artists who have made pop music, but the main renown one is Michael Jackson, commonly referred to as MJ. He is renowned for playing the rock n roll style of music. There are different instrumentation tracks that are employed when playing this type of music. Pop music is an indispensable part of human beings as it helps people express their emotions as well as their feelings. Pop music is an integration of modern music with various instruments such as drums and electric guitars, piano, as well as different vocals and a synthesizer. In recent times, pop music is the genre of popular music that is producing most hits meaning that the songs produced tops the sales charts in the market. The pop songs are usually two to five minutes long. The rhythm of the song is always good, and the songs have a catchy melody. Additionally, the lyrics of the pop songs are easy to cram, and they usually relate to the problems and joy associated with love and relationships.
Recently, pop music is famous among teens and youth. The most popular musicians who sing pop music and are famous globally include examples of One Direction and Justin Bieber. In their songs, there is the use of voices, guitars, and elation. The melodies of the pop songs are very memorable, and most of these songs have a chorus or a verse that ads in attracting the focus of the listener. In the 21at century, pop music is the genre of popular music that sells the most with a structure of a verse and a chorus that is appealing to both the teens and the youth. In the structure, there is as well the inclusion of hooks or “riffs” that are designed to keep the audience listening. When it comes to the harmony of the song, the formula followed is prescribed as it usually has a distinct selection of cords hat is approved as successful after several tests are made. Endless melodic possibilities are attested in the song due to the blending of the major and minor chords. The chords are mostly in the chorus where there is repletion such that they create a lasting effect on the persons listening. The speed or the tempo of the pop songs varies, although most of the songs have a slow speed when compared to the other genres of the pop song. I am a fan of pop songs, but what I hate most is that recently, the songs have been greatly commercialized. The artists performing the songs are nowadays interested in money rather than performance. When pop music was invented, the artists genuinely conveyed love messages as opposed to the current pop artists who are more concerned about making money.
