Machiavelli IV Assessment

From the assessment I carried out, I have learned a few things about myself that I did not know of; for example, I have discovered that I am a high Mach. I focus and care so much about my well-being to the point of doing anything possible to benefit myself (Grace, 2018). Through the test, I have realized that I do not trust people easily and that I always assume that everyone in the world is not as good as they seem to be. I have also discovered that my thinking about other people is usually naïve as I view every person as a high Mach who will do anything to benefit themselves even if it is at the expense of someone else.

The thought of everybody is out here to get ahead of the others in the society has made me not trust people easily to avoid them taking advantage of me or making me vulnerable. My thought on people’s success is that I believe that not every successful person in the world follows the moral rules or does things by the book. I think that most people climb up the social or economic ladder while stepping on others. I view the world as a jungle full of predators that are out to hunt any vulnerable prey, and for this reason, then I need to develop a thick skin and an attitude that will enable me to survive out here.

In a patient care situation, it is essential to make decisions that will make all parties involved happy. To achieve the goal of using the available resources to make everyone happy, one can use the utilitarianism principle (Ledlow & Stephens 2018). This ethical principle aims at providing possible happiness for society by making a decision that fits and benefits everyone. When making a decision that will impact people’s lives in one way or another, it is vital to make the best decision for everyone. It will result in fairness and quality services offered to the patients, which enhance their health status.

The health sector is a susceptible area that should be taken with utmost precaution as it determines the well-being of the people and the society at large. It is crucial to develop an ethical and moral practice that will result in better services offered to the clients achieving better results. A health organization leader needs to put in place measures that would develop a practice that is ethical and morally upright. To establish an ethical practice is essential for the leader to create an ethics committee that will oversee value contradiction and decision making in the organization (Ledlow & Stephens 2018). It is also essential to demand staff attendance, participation, and always evaluate their education and lifestyle background to ensure they are fit for the job.
