MARKETING PROJECT: AUTISM SMILE
ORGANIZATIONAL ASSESSMENT
Mission statement
“The mission of Autism Smile is to design and promote solutions to children living with autism, helping them live to their fullest potential.”
The organization intends to achieve this by integrating the best therapeutic interventions and researched medical treatment. We have a highly qualified staff who receive regular training on the latest trends in the field. According to Ashley, Gillberg, and Wilson, ‘decades of autism research have yielded an ever-increasing number of varied brain dysfunctions,’ (Ashley et al., 2013), We, therefore, intend to offer different intervention measures for different consumer needs.
Services offered
With the help of our highly trained staff, we offer the following services;
1.Diagnostic Evaluation- our team examines children to determine whether or not they have an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Parents are encouraged to have the tests early as research shows ‘early intervention generally results in better results’(Mohammadi,2011). If the child’s diagnosis is definite, a treatment plan is designed to meet the unique needs of the child.
- Research and clinical trials- as autism includes a variety of disorders, we are dedicated to understanding the unique nature of every child with autism through research. We also test out new treatments for patients.
- Evidence-based therapies for behaviors- we apply the Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to help children and adolescents with challenging behaviors
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
Clients
Clients include children and adolescents ranging between the ages of eighteen months and twenty-one years diagnosed with different autism spectrum conditions such as Autistic Disorder, Asperger Syndrome and Pervasive Developmental Disorder (Not Otherwise Specified)
Referral Sources
Referrals will originate from physicians, schools and other autism centers that lack the necessary equipment needed for interventions, treatment or therapy
Community needs
Since individuals in the autism spectrum are different from unique needs, and there is no one solution for all autistic disorders, the community will appreciate our various interventions tailored for a diverse clientele.
Healthcare trends
Studies show that cases of autistic spectrum disorders are on the rise. ‘Children with ASD have reached 1 in 150 children (66 per 10,000 children),’( Zhang & Wheeler,2011). This indicates the prevalence of autism and necessitates more research on the subject. Since no single intervention is sufficient for all children,’ (Kasari et al. 2018), it is vital for centers dealing with autism to broaden their approaches and interventions in its treatment, which is part of the organization’s objective.
