My field of study is nursing. I decided to focus on this area after losing my husband to cancer several years ago. Immunotherapy is specific to cancer treatment practices. Nevertheless, it is possible to narrow the topic down by focusing on the application of immunotherapy in treating prostate cancer. Positive outcomes could trigger research on the benefits of immunotherapy when used to treat other types of cancers
- Will be debatable, meaning different perspectives are held about it;
Some medical stakeholders purport that immunotherapy is detrimental because it has severe side effects on cancer patients. However, other medics express that the use of immunotherapy is more likely to elicit prolonged survival with, for example, advanced non-small cell lung cancer, when compared to chemotherapy (Goodman, 2019).
- Will be currently relevant, meaning the debate is ongoing;
A host of U.S. hospitals, as relayed by Krimphove et al. (2019), have switched from chemotherapy to immunotherapy, and the results have been positive. While this is the case, some commentators argue that the effectiveness of immunotherapy is not apparent, given that the practice is applied variedly. I performed my preliminary research on the selected topic and found volumes of academic articles, among them that by Krimphove et al. (2019). I used medical libraries such as Medscape, PubMed, and EBSCOhost. I also used Google books to find relevant sources. Besides, my general Google search led me to some credible and highly resourceful web articles.
- Will avoid arguing a particular religious stance or a particular political party; and
The work will not factor in religious or political matters.
- Will use effective sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Once I am done with writing, I will proofread my work carefully to check for any inconsistencies in sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, and spelling. I will also have a peer read through my work and pass my writing through Grammarly.
