Explanation to the Mission, Vision and Value Statement
.
The explanation for the Mission
According to Cronin & Bolon (2018), the mission statement of a healthcare organization is important in giving the organization a direction of operation. The mission statement acts a central defining factor that determines the ethical ground under which the healthcare organization is founded. St Joseph Hospital is a hospital that was opened with the heart of community service. Since its establishment, the hospital has played a big role in promoting the healthcare of Bristol community members through championing health awareness and supporting primary health care. The hospital places much emphasis in providing a healthy environment and health awareness to the patients, their loves ones and the community as a whole. This, therefore, explains the wording for the Mission.
The explanation for the vision
A vision statement is vital in a healthcare organization because it defines its positioning and branding (Gulati, Mikhail, Morgan, & Sittig 2016). Due to the key reason for the establishment of St Joseph hospital, it works towards providing a wholesome environment for all its stakeholders. These include the patients, the medics and the community at large. The hospital envisioned itself to be hospital of choice for the patients and their loved ones and the Bristol community at large.
Explanation of the Value Statement
The value statement of any business organization shows the beliefs and the ethical value system that the organization is founded on (Moye, & Moye, 2019). St Joseph Hospital is a hospital that prides itself in upholding integrity and quality service to its patients and their loved ones. In addition, the hospital is mandated to provide its services in a manner that ensures a sustainable community and the environment while taking accountability of any externalities that might occur during the process of delivering its healthcare services.
