My interest in Medicine, sports, and Health Science
Since childhood, I was always interested in Medicine, sports, and Health Science. I had a desire to learn the science behind the exercises regarding sports, clinical issues, and in many other applications of Health and fitness. Also, my parents have always been supportive of me studying Medicine. Our Society is an Indian society where there are still few people with question marks on letting a girl child pursue this degree of education, but beating all the odds my parents have actively supported me to pursue Bachelor of physiotherapy and are still consistently encouraging me to have a higher degree of education.
Having completed my schooling from ‘Fatima High School’ in March 2012, Mumbai, wherein I scored 81.45% in my 10th grade. Also, I completed my high school in the science field from ‘K.J. Somaiya College’ in February 2014, Mumbai, wherein I scored 67.23% in my 12th grade.
After 12th grade, I prepared myself for highly competitive entrance examinations for one year. Based on which I got admission in a four-and-a-half-year Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPth) degree course at Sancheti Healthcare Academy, Pune. I have scored consistently well with an aggregate of 67.50% in BPth.
During my Bachelor course, we were trained in the field of musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, neuromuscular, community health with women’s Health, and geriatric physiotherapy. We have also been sent to many community outreach programs, which led us to treat community-dwelling individuals, geriatric patients independently, thereby helping me improve my communication skills and clinical reasoning, and hands-on assessment. I also got an opportunity to be a team member as a physiotherapist in the International marathon, Pune. Along the course, I had opportunities to assist and learn from various Delegates who are masters in their fields like Vertigo specialists, Neuro rehab with Aqua aerobics, sports, and human movement science. After graduation, I got an opportunity to work as an intern for 6 months. During my internship, I got to learn many new things. I have also attended two Neuro-Pediatric Camps, named Satara Camp and Wai Camp.
Other than this, I am personally giving a complete treatment to our honorable former President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil, for patella-femoral Osteoarthritis of the knee joint in January and February 2020.
I was also a part of physiotherapy team in 32nd and 33rd International Marathon (Pune), and have also participated in MSSI (Multiple Sclerosis Society of India)
With a zeal to do something remarkable for my SocietySociety and people, I have decided to pursue MSc in Physiotherapy. The course will provide me a critical analysis and solid grounding in the theoretical knowledge and will offer the opportunity to conduct hands-on, clinically focused Research.
Medical science has advanced, and improving the quality of life of an individual without the use of drugs or surgery and the knowledge of Human Movement Science with Body Biomechanics was the trigger point toward my growing interest in Musculoskeletal and Sports physiotherapy. But this awareness and knowledge about the importance of physiotherapy in day to day life, the importance of maintaining the correct posture, or for that matter, knowing what the correct posture is and infinitely many other advanced clinical expertise is lacking in my Mother Country. I look forward to applying the skills which I will be learning.
The UK is a vibrant country with British higher education and qualifications having an impressive International reputation. Given a chance, studying in the UK will help me a lot in improving my clinical knowledge and shall prove to be a milestone in my career.

A postgraduate qualification in your University will add weight to my resume, and many employers will see it as evidence of an advanced level of maturity and proficiency. I am sure that with your experienced faculty and student-friendly environment, I will be able to grasp more knowledge which will help me to achieve my goals.
I have a desire to put my more than 100% in whatever I wish to do. Be it the smallest work; I have never been ashamed of it. I am hardworking and a positive thinking person who accepts each and every challenge on the way, be it the bitter truth facts of life or a competitive but playful game!
After seeking international education and experience, I will come back to India and apply my knowledge here, and I direly desire to spread as much as physiotherapy awareness as I can because the people here really need this proficiency. When I am back, I can work as a head physiotherapist, an Assistant professor or a research team member, in reputed hospitals Like Kohinoor Hospital, Fortis Hospital, P. D. Hinduja National Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Apollo Spectra Hospitals, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, and Medical Research Institute, Mumbai.
