My Story of Jesus

Jesus is known as the savior of humanity to all the Christians that believe in His teachings. Jesus is the son of God, who was born in Bethlehem through the Virgin Mary before her marriage to Joseph. After His birth, there was an order to kill all the male children under the age of 2 years by King Herod, where God sent an angel to warn Joseph, who took Jesus and Mary to Egypt, and return to Nazareth in Galilee after the king’s death.

After his baptism by John, Jesus fasted for 4o days and nights before his ministry, where He was tempted three times by the Devil. The first was to turn stone into bread in the desert, and the second was to throw Himself off the mountain and angels would save him, and finally, to worship the Devil and have all the earthly kingdoms. After rejecting all the temptations, Jesus started his teaching ministry in Galilee through the neighboring villages. Jesus began His ministry with twelve disciples, whom he also named apostles. His disciples included Simon Peter, Andrew, John, James, Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Mathew, Simon the Zealot, Judas Iscariot, and Mathias..

Being the son of God, Jesus performed miracles to help His followers in believing and following the teachings of God. Jesus used teachings and miracles to bring people close to God. Firstly, Jesus visited a wedding with His mother Mary, upon which they run out of wine. Jesus then turned water in a jar into wine, indicating that God is the provider in times of need. Another miracle performed by Jesus was healing the sick, who suffered from different diseases such as leprosy and even gave sight to the blind. During one of his preaching, the crowd grew more massive that the disciples were unable to feed them with only five loaves of bread and two fish. Jesus then thanked the lord and multiplied the food, which he served more than five thousand people, with more left. This miracle showed that God is our provider. On their trip to Galilee through the sea, they were faced by a big storm while Jesus was asleep, and the disciples were very much afraid to sink. Jesus then appeared walking on water to calm the storm. Jesus’ teaching was that God could save us during the most challenging time by asking for His intervention. Jesus also teaches the lesson of God’s control over life by raising the dead. First, Jesus raises Lazarus from his tomb after days of being dead in Jerusalem. Jesus then raised Jairus’ daughter, who was the only child in the family. The teachings and miracles exempt Jesus as the real savior of our lives.

Jesus died for our sins is miraculous to Christians that believe in His word. During the last supper in Jerusalem, Jesus signified the covenant between humans and God through the Eucharist of his body and blood. Upon His arrest by the chief priest after betrayal by Judas by a kiss, Jesus was taken to the high court, where Pontius Pilate ordered his crucifixion upon demand from the people and priests. Jesus was beaten, a crown of thorn placed on his head, then crucified with two thieves beside him. Jesus asked God to forgive all those who had sinned him before His last breath. This showed how merciful and forgiving He was. He was then buried in a tomb in Jerusalem, and on the third day, He resurrected and appeared to his disciples in hiding. Jesus then promised His disciples the Holy Spirit upon his ascending into heaven.

The teachings, miracles, death, and resurrection of Jesus clearly show that he is a merciful, forgiving, loving, and eternal. Therefore, if you believe in Him, He will be your provider and savior in your time of need and rescue upon this earth. You will also receive eternal life upon death, which He symbolized after the resurrection and ascending to heaven.
