Conflicts have occurred between various communities due to failure to failure to meet neutral terms and conditions. For instance, the division of labour is a major source of conflict in multiple communities. Due to changes taking place in today’s world, different communities have a varied opinion on the who is to do what in society. Based on gender and class, a state of misunderstanding occurs as people have different views. For example, some tasks, such as house chores, are perceived to be roles of the women. Similarly, subordinate ranks are presumed to belong to lower class people since they are considered inferior. Due to these disparities based on sex and social status, community members have been at logger-head with each other as they share no common grounds. Some advocate for equality for all while others call for grouping according to gender and qualifications in pursuing various roles in the societal setting. Many women and low-class people call for communal conduction of responsibilities as opposed to their male counter-parts and the high class. The state of turmoil not only causes conflict in the community but also segregation in the line of gender and status quo.

Intercultural misunderstandings are also manifested in the difference in cultural practices and norms. For instance, during intermarriages, a refraining cultural practice can bound the activity from taking place. Difference in standards governing a given society such as religion can prevent a marriage from taking place when cultural terms are to be fully adhered to. A matrimonial occasion between pagan and Christian affiliated communities may not occur due to difference in religious practices. These customs not only mark intercultural conflicts but also spear-head the sense of ethnicity of superiority. This is because different communities perceive neighbouring societies as inferior based on their regards to norms and practices. Nevertheless, rigidity to cultural diversity makes it had to adopt practices from neighbouring villages. Strong beliefs of community members may make cultural changes difficult, leading to long-term cultural misunderstandings. These intercultural misunderstandings are majorly caused by perception of superiority in terms of cultural norms and practices that govern different communities. As a result, if assimilation does not take place, intercommunal conflicts it terms of ideologies or even physical combat occur.

Every society has a means of communication. Definite language is the medium through which members of the community use. Each language has distinctive components that differentiate them from others. These components include; pragmatic, semantic, phonology, morphology, and syntax. These features form the verbal codes, which are the parameters of creating meaning to human languages. As result, every language has specific rules governing it. This is based on the formation, pronunciation, and application of words that gives meaning to various dialects. However, there are integral features common to all lingos of the world. These universal characteristics are; all languages are innate, all are governed by specific rules, no language is superior to the other, all languages have sub-dialects, all languages have irreversible transition, not all dialects have writing modules while others can be written, everyone has a dialect and every language has specific vocabulary, grammar, and sound systems. However, in the contemporary culture, language is influenced by the fact that it is perceived thus can be newly constructed according to environmental needs. This suggests that components that make up every dialect are derivative of the original versions or the vice versa. Scholars have invented various theories that explain this phenomenon. For instance, they state that language is the conceptual framework through which dialect users perceived and encrypted. Although in contemporary culture, one can adapt unauthentic language known as pidgin 24. This dialect has reduced verbal codes and is designed to solve a situation at hand. Precedingly, when one is born in a community in which pidgin is the native language, the form is called the creole 24. In deduction, all languages have creoles though bounded with various barriers from the native language. These barriers include specific; vocabularies, experiences, expressions, and grammar. However, language gives the contemporary cultures their identity 27. This is because language form the basis of communication thus binding people together. Additional, language is definitive feature of the contemporary culture. The speech patterns, accents and accents all give an identity to any affiliated culture.

Social Phenomenon

The discourse notion explains the trends seen in the contemporary community that derived from various ethnicity features that are unique. For instance, in the case of taste and preference of foods, music and cultural activities. The taste for food though innate, tremendous evolution has occurred thus proving to be transitional in nature. Due to innovations of new food materials, various names and food staffs have popped up. As a result of cultural diversity, marked changes have taken place ranging from food staffs cooked to cooking styles. Various nations if not communities have preferred foods of choice that affiliates from the native foods or are a modified of the originals. Since ethnicity plays a role in contemporary culture, cultural diversity has led to changes of names of the food names and invention of new names to food staffs that never existed. Societies according to their faming and trading abilities acquire new names food staffs or explore the original ones.

Besides, new cultural practices have given rise to different forms of sports and entertainment. Due to cultural diversity, different genres of music have evolved ranging from the folk songs to the current pop songs. The contemporary culture in music is the modified version of the traditional songs to best suit the audience’ needs. Nevertheless, various transitions have taken place in the sports arena due innovations in technology. Variety of games such as football, hockey and basket ball just mention a few have changed in rules and style of play. This has not only led to modification of the traditional games but also led to creation of new modern games.
