Personal Assessment Using the Machiavelli IV Module
After carrying out the personal assessment using the Machiavelli IV assessment module, a lot was reviled about my personality. The assessment graded me as a low-level Mach, which meant that I was one of the few people in the world who cared about the wellbeing of others. Being ranked, a Low-level Mach showed that most of the time, I consider other people before making a decision (Christie et al. 2014). Through the test results, it was evident that I trusted people quickly and that I was an honest person who cared about people’s feelings and that in anything I did, I had to consider the type of impact it will have on the other person.
I believe everybody in the world is good, and it is only circumstances that lead to people misbehaving or mistreating one another. If everybody was given equal opportunities, there could be peace and order in society. Although the majority of people do not follow the morality rules in my case, the assessment indicated that I do things by the book no matter the consequences. The personal attributes I have of trusting people, being honest, and doing everything by the book have made me establish good relationships with other people as I am easy to interact with and trust, which is an advantage on my side.
Working in the healthcare industry, it is vital for one always to make the client comfortable and offer the best services to the patient by making the best decisions for his or her treatment and patient care. The utilitarianism principle can help guide a healthcare professional in making the right choices that will serve the patient’s purpose, and that will improve his or her status (Ledlow & Stephens 2018). The utilitarianism principle suggests that a person should do everything he or she does to serve the best purpose for everyone. With equality and fairness in practice, it ensured excellent quality services to the patients, which results in achieving a better healthy living condition.
The leader of a health organization is vested with the responsibility of ensuring that his or her organization offers the best quality of services to the clients. For the wellbeing of the patient and the organization’s reputation, it is essential to establish an ethical and morally upright practice (Ledlow & Stephens 2018). Such a practice can be developed through ensuring that the staffs working in the institution are reliable and qualified for the job. Also, it is necessary to create an ethical committee that oversees decision-making processes and advises on values and ethics.
