PERSONAL ATTITUDE SPEECH ON MARRIAGE

            Marriage is an institution which is supposed to bring happiness for both the couples and eventually to the children. However, most of the current marriages have ended up being miserable and causing sufferings to either one of the couples or the children. Again, the amount of violence reported in marriages is increasing in an alarming rate and that has gone to an extent of causing unnecessary deaths or permanent injuries which eventually lead to lots of suffering. A keen scrutiny on these and other incidences indicate that marriage is no longer a happiness camp but a misery institution and for that matter it’s unnecessary. Therefore, it is better to be happy outside than living miserably in marriage.

Clearly, through failed marriages street children have increased in all the major cities globally. This is because children are left stranded divorce incidences happen and are forced to run into major cities. Children are the fruits of marriage and therefore should be taken care of in the same marriage. So, avoiding marriages will play a major role in reducing the number of children suffering on the streets as a result of failed marriages.

Additionally, divorce incidences have been reported to be the root causes of major suicide cases currently. In consideration to the fact that after marriage most of the family matters are tackled in unison, in most cases divorce tends to hit the couples hard because of the inability to afford the finances for upkeep especially for the mothers who happen to be housewives to an extend of losing hope with life and may be easily tempted to commit suicide. Therefore, to be in a safe position and to avoid such frustrations means to stay away from marriage.

Generally, the above points are clear indications that marriage has turned against its initial purpose of bringing more happiness to the couples and children. Instead, marriage has become the source of suffering to both the couples and the children as it has been seen from the case of street children and suicide incidences because of divorce and therefore not necessary anymore. So, if the institution cannot serve its purpose it’s of no importance then.
