Personal ethics
Our characters, how we behave and do thing deeply explains who we are. Every decision that we make matters and can affect everyone around us either positively or negatively. What is ethics? To me, this is standards of doing what is right or wrong. Personal ethics is what now differentiate one person from another. My ethics have been moulded and guided by religion. The work will explain how I understand ethics in my view.
The moral right requires foresight and logic as it helps in viewing the life of others. I agree with Kayes (2019) that ethics have to do with standard and moral value. I understand that every ethical decision made either in local places or institution should be respected and recognised. According to Brooks et al (2012) employees should be empowered to make an ethical decision and be able to defend them. The conclusion I make should be accepted and acknowledge as because my ethics allow it.
Religion is of the factor that moulds my ethics; helping to decide what is right and what is wrong. Ethics works hand in hand with the conscience as the inner personality guiding me to what is right. God will always put to shame those who slander me if I have a good conscience ( 1 Peter 3:16, Good news version). “What is Ethics?” (2019) acknowledged that religion sets a high standard of ethical behaviours. I understand faith as the core foundation of ethics.
All the work I have presented explains that without ethics, humanity will never reach its potential. Ethics allows me to decide on what I should this guarding me against falling into a void is the choice I make. People’s ethical behaviours guide me to understand their rule of conduct and personal beliefs or their moral philosophy. Ethics is a process of discovering who I am and defend my values.
