Introduction
- A chronology of key events in the history of China was aimed at reviving revolutionary spirits, the emergence of massive social, economic, and political upheaval.
- China entered the stage of politics in 501 B.C and gained the Peoples Republic of China after a violent stage of civil war
- After fifty years of communism that marked the end of civil war, Mao Zedong, together with intellectuals, reformers, and liberal economic, social and political activists, proclaimed the People’s Republic of China.
Thesis: The political events since and movements since 1949 shaped China’s political system, party-state relations, and the democratic space defining the current governance, social, and economic system.

- It began in North Korea communist army and invaded South Korea
- Chinese attack on US/UN forces opened a new era for China forces
- The war had several political impacts such as broken families, governance instability and loss of many lives especially leaders

- It was a socio-political movement that adversely changed China’s economy while millions of people were disadvantages
- The ripple effects are still felt up to date especially in health and educational aspects
