What is the war on the poor?
War on the poor is an attempt by society to eliminate the aspect of living below the poverty line among people. It is an effort to raise the living standards of the community through the creation of a source of income for them. The war on the poor is aimed at closing the gap between wealth classes among people in society (Torstensson, 2016). It is putting resources towards the less disadvantaged areas to uplift their economic power and hence the advancement of their lives. The war involves bringing close essential services to communities that are lagged in terms of development.
What are some things that stood out to you about the war on the poor?
Major issues that arise need for good healthcare. Poor people live below the standard health care level for a healthy human life. These people as well as experience poor education due to a lack of necessary facilities within their locality. In other terms, poor society has inadequate availability of the essential public amenities, which is the reason for the intensified level of low living standards among people within these areas (Torstensson, 2016). Due to lack of all these necessities, they suffer unemployment and hence poverty.
How can this be resolved?
Poverty is one major problem that can only be resolved through actions. The society has to fight the calamity through civilizing the victimized groups. Civilization must be brought about through education, technology, excellent healthcare services, development of infrastructures, and advancement of security (both economic and physical) and above all creation of employment to fight food insecurity among people (Torstensson, 2016). It should be noted that the war should start by fight the challenge of food insecurity to succeed in it.
