Professional goals of nursing practitioner
Initially, nurse practitioner were expected to be extension physicians and were used majorly to improve the health of children with health problems. Today, nursing practitioner we engage in several specialties like women’s health nursing, family care nursing and even adult care nursing. We are recommended typically in environments where we are expected to take care of other people, solve complex issues and provide compassionate attitude towards patients.
As a nursing practitioner my leading goal is to demonstrate advanced skills during my nursing lifespan. The only way to achieve this through making sure I take continuous courses, attend nursing educative conferences and obtain certificates and as well as join several nursing programs that can help me with opportunity to put my skills in practice and obtain skills. Through well conducted research, I will be looking forward to acquire integrated theory concepts to equip myself helpful nursing knowledge.
Being able to manage a large population of patients who needs care without compromising my competence is another of my goals that I wish to achieve through putting myself at the front line of doing community services. Registering with disaster response organization is my ticket through this goal whereby I can have continuous practice on how to deal with large care demands and improve my skills in the field without losing the compassionate attitude that my patient’s needs.
Community service is also going to help me practice how to deal with members( patients and workmates) from different cultures and this can teach me how to integrate different disciplinary in order to provide high quality work both in research working and in the field practice too. This interaction can also provide outstanding leadership skills because it will help in understanding people from their own perspective socially, politically and in a cultural way too and this means I will understand their way of thinking and know how to handle them.
Applying advanced science for quality healthy delivery in the nursing sector is another goal in my line. For this to happen I have to put efforts in my research skills to obtain more education information and volunteering to practice my skills in different profession institutions can assist achieve this objective. This is because in various institutions I will be able to meet people with different application of their professional skills and the integration of all the ways I learn can result to attaining one unique one.
So far I have managed to work under unique and comprehensive approach and I look forward to contribute in developing advanced nursing practices. Through better attained leadership skills, better and patient- centered policies as well as using comprehensive approach to enhance admirable and considerate health deliver system channels.
