Project Funding Sources
Proposal Summary
Funding will be sourced from the government grants through the Ministry in charge of youth and social affairs. (New & Quick, 2016). The Substance Abuse Prevention Program (SAP) project would cost approximately 1 billion U.S dollars. This amount will be distributed in the three levels of the project, namely; family-based, School-based, and Community based levels. Besides, NGOs and community-based organizations such as Churches, Mosques, and other social institutions will also be explored as an alternative source of funding and sponsors of the project.
Description
The director of the program would act as the overall financial manager to supervise how the funds will be utilized. The director would also be in charge of appointing supervisors at the three levels of the project. At the three levels, supervisors will be assigned to each level to monitor the utilization of the funds. The supervisors at the three levels would be liable for reporting to the director of the program. Supervisors at these levels would be responsible for keeping accounts of how funding is allocated. On the other hand, the director of the program would be in charge of either approving or disapproving funding for programs at the three levels of the project.
Background
Substance abuse is one of the greatest problems facing most societies in the contemporary world. Unfortunately, youths and juveniles are the most affected population category. While several interventions have been put in place to ensure substance abuse by the youth is reduced, most of them remain ineffective as the problem continues to persist in most societies. My project seeks to breach this gap in my Community as well as the country at large. To achieve this, the project would require proper funding that will enable the project to achieve its goals and objectives.
