Introduction

There has been significant progress in the projection of issues of women in the last three centuries. It is almost universal that women can be able to vote in any given country. There has been a significant rise in feminist activists who are still campaigning for equality between men and women in society. For the last three centuries, there has been considerable growth over the rights of women to participate in the economic, social, political sphere of the society. However, even with the monumental progress, there is still inequality and prejudice that has existed in society to date. Women are prejudiced in the workplace, they are paid less for the work they do, and their decisions are likely to be undermined, unlike those of men. This means that the journal for women is still huge, and they need to do everything possible to achieve the desired need. There is a need for countries to laws that will enable women to progress by limiting discrimination. The society should take deliberate actions to ensure that women continue to improve in society.

During the romantic age, there was little heard in terms of the rights and the progress of women in society.  Women are depicted as being lost with nothing to say about their rights. For example, smiths find her peace in darkness due to her hectic life as a mother.  She delights in the darkness, which shows the state of women during this era. There was very little freedom for women in this patriarchal society. Smith only finds peace in herself and because she finds peace in little after she relived from her maternal duties which are purely predominate. The women in this era are likened to the women who I never dominant.  Surprisingly, the moon is likened with evil in British culture due to the veil that happens at night. The male is referred to as being pale, uncertain and feeble. This shows that women issues were at the background d during this error, and the grip of masculinity was so strong for them to be able to anything. The women are seen as full of dependence because even though they desire to break free, it is unfathomable in this era. She is powerless and has nothing that she can do but to obey the man.

Elizabeth Barrett Browning (AURORA LEIGH) in her work gives the most significant hope to women who want to prosper in their endeavours. Browning clearly elaborates how women were treated in the Victorian age when after they matured, they lost their freedom because they were seen to be inferior to men, and this forced them to subsume their interest.  They had to be comfortable with the life of dependence on man. Any women who b went this norm they were viewed as an outcast in the society. However, Leigh decided to break from this norm and put forward the concerns of women. By becoming a writer, Leigh was communicating to the women and to generations that women still had their passions and desires that they wanted to accomplish. She was an adamant advocator of the lights of women in society. She raised her voice higher by letting it known that women in marriages still had a voice that needed to be hard. Leigh constructs a feminist identity that extends the possibilities of women. Leigh projects that both man and women should recognize respect their voices in a social setting.

During the Victorian age, women were subjects of men, and thus a sense of identity crises permeated the literature. However, with continued advocacy of the issues of women, there has been significant growth, a change in beliefs and consistent progress of the issues of women in society.  It has become common that women are more visible in the public sphere than during the Victorian age. Furthermore, as a result of the continued advocacy of the issues of women, there is a changing dynamic in the relationships between men and women where they almost occupy the same level in society. Women are now rising and pursuing their dreams instead of helping men to achieve their dreams. Women have metamorphosed from the house helps people with careers and ambitions. Woman is forced to struggle with having to adjust so that they can assume a progressive role in society.

In the modern era by Virginia Woolf, there is a new down to the progress of women in society. She is against the role that was assigned to the Victorian women although she grew to like one.  She endured having a new role for women. One way the issues of women have to continue to be addressed is through rebellion where women are doing all they can to break free from the societal constructs. The modern women have realized that women they are united, they will be able to handle the male chauvinism in society and fight for equality in society.  Her essay was particularly crucial during the rise of the feminist movement during the 1970 an 1980s.

In the modern era, the issues au women of women are projected to the society by destroying the old roles of woman.in this modern age, the women need to have her roles very well defined and break form the angel in the house.  She is able to take professions like men and pursue them to the need. Better said, the women to be empowered such that they will have a mind of their own as opposed to relying on that of her husbands.  In the modern error, women have to break from the respectability that was defined by gender stereotype in the Victorian age and try to redefine her role in society. The women have to raise their voice in the modern era so that they can gain equality. This is emphasized by the three guineas that lay particular emphasis on the rights of women, their equality and their general position in the society.

Conclusions

During the three centuries, the issues of women were projected differently.  During the Romantic Era, the rights of women were unheard of. They enjoyed in darkness after they got some freedom after the end of the day. Things changed very little during the Victorian era when women to be the angels in the house were even with tears in her eyes; she had to show a smiley face.   Her roles were purely that of taking of the home. However, in the modern era, things have changed where women have been able to get significant progress by having some rights and equality almost being achieved. There has been the emergence of feminist groups that fight for the freedom of women.
