Quote Reflection: The Mosaic of Society
India is one of the popularized countries in the world with diverse cultural backgrounds. With over 600 tribal communities in the India that have different cultural beliefs and values, it is of significance to develop certain strategies that will help bring unity in diversification to create a “beautiful mosaic.”Additionally, the India tribal communities continue to face several challenges such as poverty, health issues and equity, and socioeconomic problems among others. As such, there is a need to empower clients working in such diversity environment to understand how to relate and treat other workers (Hillier, 2007). The strategies of community mapping and the model of client empowerment can work best in this situation
. Giving clients the overview of what is happening in the community about their beliefs and values to can such clients to become more acquitted with the tribes and empower or strengthen their social life (Falk-Rafael, 2001). Collecting data concerning the community can help provide more opportunities for the programs aimed at improving health and reducing disparities. Furthermore, the model of empowering clients is of significance in providing them with the right resources and tools necessary to make confident decisions that includes all tribes in India (Falk-Rafael, 2001). The quote by President Jimmy Carter has different meanings pertaining to diversity of cultures. However, personally it carries a heavier meaning that concerns how unique people are regardless of their cultural backgrounds. Personally, it portrays how unique I am having different dreams, hopes, and beliefs from the rest of the people. Therefore, incorporating such differences in the community helps to create a beautiful mosaic.
