Self-reflection can be termed as a process in which a person tries to examine, evaluate and learn more about what he/she has written. Use of discoveries helps in identifying the strengths and weaknesses encountered during the writing. I plan on using this essay in enhancing my skills in writing to become a better student. Self-assessment is my priority to my successful student in essay writing. I have discovered some interesting things in my writing and also other things that are less interesting in both grammar, use of rhetorical devices and the style of writing.

In this essay, I have discovered my strengths on the writings about obesity, education impact on finance improvement and digital literacy. I believe one of my strengths is that I was able to profoundly elaborate and give a clear picture about my topics of discussion. For example, in demonstrating the level of obesity and its effects in the United States of America. I explained thoroughly the statistics of the people affected by obesity and shown an estimate of the number of resources required by the government to deal with the epidemic. The use of hyperbole makes readers of the essay understand it better. The first paragraph states that “The U.S has the highest percentage of obese individuals in the world.”(Obesity Epidemic in the United States).  This is an exaggeration because there are many other nations which are affected by the same epidemic (Obesity Epidemic in the United States). This statement also gives the readers information that the US government has a role in reducing obesity “The government of U.S should be responsible and show how parents can help preschoolers get over their junk foods, how lactating-mothers should eat, and how people can make healthy meals” (Obesity Epidemic in the United States).

On my research on obesity, I made use of understatements, for example, “But the problem is that obesity is reaching epidemic proportions in the United States, and there are no signs that the population will get better on its own.” This statement states that individuals cannot control obesity on their own (Education Impact on Finance Improvement). This is not true because individuals have what it takes to control what happens in their lives. However, my research on obesity has weaknesses shows some weaknesses that I do not give exact statistics, but mere estimates on the levels of obesity in the US. The essays require vocabulary that interests’ readers of the work. I used simple terms and language that does not make my work more interesting.

Throughout my work, I find the social expectations of higher education degree as well as that of the parents, friends, and individuals. The community ought to have a common belief of the degrees in proving secure future of its members, for instance, they ought to provide a more accessible environment to the whole society as well as providing a standard stable ground and constant routine of life. I have learned how life necessities are handled, for example, the rise of prices of rents and rates. The incline of prices lowers the opportunities hence reduces the demand because few individuals are going to afford the rents and rates. My research shows that individuals with a degree have access to specific jobs thus may use the skills acquired to perform different tasks to the best of they could. Therefore, this essay reflects my weakness and strengths that come about from what I learned and experienced. My research shows that degrees reflect on gained experiences and knowledge of multiple aspects, hence can provide more opportunities and internships (Education Impact on Finance Improvement).

From my experience in social media and technology in the society, I observe that medical field has dominated the performance on the routine and the necessity of checking health status online. Throughout doctors can give medical advises to patients from different destinations. I observe that social media play an active role in spreading the awareness and spreading communication in the best way possible. This changed my actions and actions view of public health specialists in the way they were spreading the controllable risks factors. This was brought up by the fact of different perspectives in the measure of the impact social media had on the society. Social media tools and technology has influenced may teenagers in a wider world of digitalization hence has a negative impact of dragging them to practice smoking and involvement in other abuse of drugs (The Digital World of Medicine of United States)

In conclusion, I observed significant weaknesses were caused by the public health of chronic diseases. Therefore, campaigns employed are to reduce the harmful effects of consuming during such as smoking. Technology, in this case, has to be a booster in spreading awareness and communication to individuals. On the other side higher education degrees can open ways and paths for individuals as kit provides stability of wages, employment, and entrepreneurship and positively has an impact on the whole society. From my view, the government should take measure in reducing high rates of obesity. This may be achieved either by controlling the usage of its resources in proving healthier foods stuffs from industries.
