Thanks for sharing. I was interested in the way you have arranged your post in an organized manner. I agree that nursing theories are used as a framework to guide nurses through practice. Nursing theories are also vital since they help distinguish it from other disciplines (like medicine). Prescriptive theories prescribe the activities needed to be done in healthcare and are developed through experimental research. In nursing, prescriptive theories are useful in anticipating outcomes of nursing interventions (Pisano, 2017).

Hey Daniel,
I like the way you have used credible sources to back up your arguments. Descriptive theories are indeed vital in identifying, describing, and naming certain dimensions and properties. According to Alligood (2013), descriptive theories describe the phenomena by identifying the components and properties in which it occurs. Descriptive theories do not attempt to change or produce a situation since it is not action-oriented. I would, however, wish to know how prescriptive theory is applicable in nursing practice.
