Thanks for sharing. I showed interest in your post since I also discuss the Orem theory of Self-Care Deficit. Orem’s theory can be useful in promoting quality are as well as integrating the patient’s family and close friends into healthcare. Moreover, the theory also emphasizes the need for continuous communication and collaboration in healthcare by insisting on the need for constant communication and interchange among humans (Orem, 2011). I also agree that Johnson’s theory can be applied in nursing through the alleviation of stress and how patients can adapt to illnesses.

            Thanks for sharing! Johnson’s Behavioral Systems Model is vital in nursing since it emphasizes the need for research-based knowledge of nursing care among patients. I agree that Johnson’s model demonstrates how individual behavior can affect a patient’s overall health and wellbeing. The theory proposes nursing care through alleviation of stress and maintenance of an equilibrium state (Butts & Rich, 2013). Orem’s theory, on the other hand, is also vital in nursing since it covers three related parts, the theory of self-care deficit, the theory of self-care, and the theory of nursing system.
