Hey Soseh,
Thanks for sharing your post with the class. I noticed you had used credible sources of information to back up your arguments. I was interested in your choice of Provision 2 of the Code of Ethics for Nurses, and I agree that nurses’ priority is to be committed to the patient and advocating for them can be an effective way of doing so. According to Kourkouta & Papathanasiou (2014), excellent communication skills are vital in the achievement of improved outcomes and patient-centred care; hence nurses are required to emulate it effectively.

Hey Nvard,
I like your choice of Provision 1 since it emphasizes on providing quality and safe healthcare to every person with compassion and respect for the inherent dignity. Discriminating patients, due to their social class, is not expected from professional nurses. Provision 1 of the Code of Ethics for Nurses also emphasizes diversity by providing healthcare to all ethnic populations, genders, and social class, without any discrimination. Apart from compassion and respect, human dignity, and social justice, other values that nurses can emulate in the healthcare setting include altruism, autonomy, and integrity (Shahriari, Mohammadi, Abbaszadeh & Bahrami, 2013).
