Besides, those who took small amounts daily had reduced heart disease risk with a rate ranging from 13% to 25%. On their part, those who had been consuming large volumes of alcohol recorded heart disease risk of 74%. Based on the results extracted from the survey, it is evident that there is a strong relationship between alcohol consumption and the risk of developing heart disease.
