Bandura was one of the people wh intended to define self-efficacy. In that case, people need to have mastery of experiences. In that case, the people have the best ways that this can be achieved by having proper challenges that are complex but achievable. Every person needs to have goals that arete driving force for them. Even the smallest aim can lead to the people gaining proper mastery.

The goals can be made based on the personability and should allow the person’s ability to extend their skills. The second means that it can be achieved through social modeling. It is the process where a person chooses a person who is in line with their aims in life. Cognitive effects significant people believe in doing a certain task better than other people. On the academic scale, when a person improves in a unit and passes in attest more than the other students, they get the impression that they can pass in the unit. This is a promotion of academic self-efficacy.  In that case, they strive to learn new skills in academics. As a result, they become more competitive due to the beliefs that they have in their achievements. They get higher marks compared to the other students simply because they had the notion that they can do better than the other students.

In most cases, people base their cognitive ability based on the results that they get from the activity (Maddux & Kleiman, 2018). If one gets positive results, they feel that they are good at it, as seen in the explanation above. In a case when they feel that they have made a negative or no impact, they may feel that they have no impact on the place where they are working. Motivational self-efficacy is developed by getting past the obstacles that they face daily. When one makes it past a complex situation, th person gains the belief that they are efficient in the sector. In academics, a person who was a failure in a certain unit is likely to believe in their ability to pass after they have improved the number of marks that they have in that unit.

Emotional self-efficacy is developed based on the feelings that one has. A situation such as failure is likely to arouse sad feelings ina person. The people mustn’t use the sad feelings that are made by a situation as a source or key determinant of self-efficacy. Instead, people need to make sure that they understand that failure is a normal condition in human life. It is unethical to feel sad and unmotivated due to a failure.

The second theory researched in that paper is Frankl’s ideas of the meaning of life. The philosopher describes that the meaning of life is taking care of the needs of an individual as well as the needs of others (Uemera, 2018). E describes that the meaning of life is based on the world and the way that a person interacts with the people and things in it. It is more than developing a fulfillment of the needs that one has. One needs to interact with other people as well as have a proper understanding of their internal selves before they can achieve th purpose of life.

There are several ways that a person may know the purpose of life. The first one is creating work or doing an action. It is the ability that one has to do a job. In th course of the work, one may discover more about themselves. If the task is involving enough, the person learns about the means they can use to achieve more. They also learn about the level that they are in. In addition to that, the person gets the chance to interact with other people who come to the jo that has been created.

The second means that may be used in achieving the purpose of life is by everyday encounters and experiences. The third way is by our attitude towards suffering that cannot be avoided. In most cases, people crumble and lose hope when faced with unavoidable pain. It makes them lose focus, and motivation can achieve their goals. A person must stick to their aims in life and moral principles to find their purpose in life.

Based on the explanations of the theories above, some connections between them can be achieved. The two ideas are related to one another in several ways. In the current world, it is very important to base the success of a person with the achievements of their success in life—most of the people who have a well-defined reason to work hard (Adhiya-Shah, 2016). If, for example, a student wants to be successful in their studies, they will interact with teachers and students who have been to the levels that they aim at accomplishing.

Based on the means that the student has used, both theories are achieved. By interacting with people of a higher level, the student has used the theory of self-efficacy to attain a proper meaning of life. Both of the theories have an aspect of interaction. For this study, 344 undergraduate university students (233 girls, 111 males; seventy-six % White/Caucasian, 10% Asian American/Asian, 7% African American/African, five% multiracial/multicultural or different, 2% non-White/Hispanic; 79% beginners, thirteen% sophomores, four% juniors, 3% seniors, 1% unspecified grade/year degree) completed the Purpose in Life Test, the Scale of Perceived Social Self-Efficacy the General Self-Efficacy Subscale of the Self-Efficacy Scale and ultimately, the Marlowe Crowne Social Desirability Scale (Dewitz et al., 2009). All of the variables of self-efficacy were substantially (p < .01) and positively correlated with a cause in life.
