Restructuring higher education in Malaysia
Malaysia has been experiencing a lot of challenges in the education sector which has been a great hindrance in the economical growth of the countries. Some of the challenges have been: there has been a difficulty in reaching a certain percentage of children who for some unknown reasons drop out or never enroll at all for even the basic education (Rege et al 50-68). A thorough research is needed to identify why the students why the students never enroll or drop out. Am also thinking that the education system needs to be revised for in order the curriculum to ensure effective assessment of higher order thinking.
Special need education also need to be needs to be given an uplift to cater for the special needs children to ensure education for all. The arrangement of impartial access to quality instruction is still a worry since the accomplishment crevices amongst provincial and urban ranges, and socio monetary foundations have not been disposed of (Rege et al 10-37). I want to investigate the teacher’s role in facilitating collaborative learning in chemistry laboratories ,and I also want to investigate students role in developing collaborative learning through there peer interaction in small group work.
In order to establish an effective collaborative learning the teacher should involve establishment of group goals as well as individual accountability (Lee 65). This will ensure that the group is on task and also define goals in order to save time. A decent approach to guarantee the gathering adapts together is participate in a pre and post-test. The teacher also should ensure that the collaborative learning focuses on rich context and challenging questions in order to provide higher order reasoning. The teacher should also ensure a balanced approach (Lee 65). Relegating parts to learning is one approach to support positive association, collaboration, and gathering preparing,
