The CBS news program was against the Company LL for up to one hour. The Company LL is a leading retail business that deals with hardwood flooring in Country U. the made the products to be available at a cheaper rate because of the program they initiated with the motto “hardwood floors for less.” Besides, they claimed to avoid all the services provided by the intermediaries. Formaldehyde is a chemical that is used in solid wood and building material and can be released to the air, causing eye irritation, skin, and throat irritation. The rules to control the use of formaldehyde had not been put in place in all the states.
The retailers are responsible people to assure the customers on the safety of the flooring products. Retailers are the ones who supply the products directly to the customers for consumption. They play a role in providing services and goods to the ultimate consumers. Besides, the retailers interact one on one with the customers. That is the reason why retailers should take full responsibility for assuring safety on the products that they are selling to the customers. In case there is a default related to the safety of the products sold by the retailers, then the government should take action against the retailers. The retailers as well can blame the manufacturers and the suppliers for the product or services safety assurance.
In conclusion, assurance is a significant part of every business. Despite the fact that the consumers complain when there is no safety assurance from the manufacturer’s side, the retailer should take the responsibility of assuring safety to the consumers concerning the flooring services and products that they deliver to the customers.
