Task 3
New Zealand healthcare sector is facing issues related to Self-rated health. In concern of this, the statistics of Adults are identified who are aged 15 years and over. Four groups are selected in this analysis, like Maori, Pacific, Asian, and European.
Self-rated health
Currently, self-rated health is widely using the indicator of the health status of a population. The prevalence is provided in this table in the specified population that includes the affected percentage of the population.

The above table is representing that the highest 89.8% population of Asian group has reported that they have ‘Excellent, very good or good self-rated health’ and the remaining 10.2% have ‘Fair or poor self-rated health’. On the other hand, the population of Maori group has reported that there is only 77.3% population who have ‘Excellent, very good or good self-rated health’ that is lowest among all four groups and remaining 22.7% population have ‘Fair or poor self-rated health’ (Self-rated health, 2020).

Based on the above table, it is identified that most of the population has good health because the report of self-rated health includes responses as good health, very good health, and excellent health. In this, 86.2% of adults reported good health in 2018-19. Besides, the prevalence of self-rated good health is also not showing any difference between the health of men and women (Self-rated health, 2020). Based on the above table, it is identified that the majority of people are from the 25-34 age group (health, 2020).
