Introduction

This paper is aimed at the following aspects related to server virtualization and cloud computing. Firstly, the paper will show the description of the environment of the organization and show the preparations of the organizations to virtualization. Secondly, the paper will explain the licensing of Microsoft for virtualized environments. Thirdly the paper will show a recommendation of configuration for shared storage. Finally, the paper will discuss windows Azure for the management of hybrid cloud and its competences for computer-generated machines.

Environment for the Organization and Preparation to Virtualization

            Any organization must have an Information Technology structure that provides disaster recovery, which has a nominal cost and contains solutions in preparation for disasters. Previously, data was stored in physical formats in Tapes, DVDs, or CDs. In case of an occurrence of a disaster, data can quickly be restored to a new data area. Any organization must provide protection to its systems. The organization has considered several security problems for virtualization. The organization has the hypervisors contained within the management program for the patches to prevent any vulnerabilities to the hypervisors. The organization also performs internal monitoring of traffic in physical devices. The organization also perform the administrative root control of their servers.

Microsoft Licensing for Virtualized Environments

Releasing Windows server 2016 enabled Microsoft to change their Windows Server model of licensing. The Client Access License enables the user to access all the services that are provided by the server. Virtualization Rights enables a copy of Windows 2016 to be virtualized on itself self hence running on a similar physical box. Every processor in the server must have its license. In Microsoft 2016, all the standard and data standard additions must have a minimum of eight core licenses per every CPU or a total summing to sixteen core licenses in every physical server. The windows server 2016 has three tiers, namely; the OS license tier. This tier is essential in running windows server. The second tier, the base CALs, and the user need to have an access service offered by a server. The third tier is Additive CALs, and they are used in the activation of features that are premium, which include the remote desktop services. The Windows 2016 server has three editions, and they are essentials, data sender, and standards.

Configuration for Shared Storage

The recommended configuration for storage that is shared is Adobe Connect. The installer can be used in configuring Adobe Connect. In Adobe Connect, the content should be copied to external storage instruments and kept in each Adobe servers. Old contents present in the server are removed to create space for the new content. This type of configuration helps in freeing resources in the servers of application that is essential in huge sizes. The main reason for choosing Adobe Connect is very available when the need arises, and it also reduces the risks of virtualization in the organization.

Capabilities of Windows Azure for Virtual Machines and Management of Hybrid Cloud

            Many organizations are using the hybrid cloud strategy in their operations.  Microsoft is the leading company in providing a hybrid cloud. Microsoft Azure is essential can be applied in the monitoring and management of organizations (Christopher, Gunneswara, Harry, & Larry, 2017). Microsoft Azure enables the Admins can move a backup to a cloud that is used by the public. The Microsoft Azure provides the following services: editing, creation, starting, deleting, and restarting of VM. The Windows Azure can also be used to provide internet service and also can act as a device for data storage. The organization needs to use cloud computers as the data is highly protected from unauthorized users and also is stored in a format that can easily be retrieved.

Conclusion

            The paper has focused on several aspects that are related to server visualization and computing using cloud technology. The paper has shown the environment of the organization and its preparation for visualization. Secondly, the paper has explained Microsoft licensing. The paper has also shown the recommended configurator to be used in shared storage. Any organization needs to use a cloud computer due to its efficiency and security features.
