SMART FARMING
Introduction
The New Zealand farming industry is well known internationally as it is the largest export industry in New Zealand. Due to the use of advanced technology in agricultural business, the production capacity of the sector has improved in the recent decade. The environment of the country is helpful for the agriculture sector as well as the farmers have effective land management. Agronomists use new technological information to improve production. In this task, I am discussing the agroforestry.
With the use of smart farming, farmers can grow the production level with increasing nourishment food. The modern technology developed smart agriculture for farm management for nursery worker to offer tableware. Based on this technology, it can be said that horticulture can be improved effectively by applying science and technology by farmers to cultivating. This technological implementation can save time and hardworking for the farmers in gardening. It is because machinery is preferred by harvesters in farming stores (Herald, 2018). For example, to collect milk, machines can be used for dairy cattle and make them pesticide-free food. The issue of using higher pesticides for higher production can be resolved by using this machinery by a large group for crop cultivation. Two main methodologies
In order to expand smart farming, there are two essential methods that can be used, like using channels for watering and the use of sensors & analyzers for planting. With the use of channels, the watering the plant can be a simple, less time, and cost consuming (Deavoll, 2018). The farmers can use sensors and analyzers for monitoring the moisture of soil and changes in nutrition. For example, fertilizer app, finding irrigation system, electronically distributed soil maps, etc.
Three principles
The three principles of smart farming are focus on environmental protection, provide healthy organic foods, and save natural resources. In smart agriculture, New Zealand farmers will produce organize food items by not utilizing synthetic compounds like pesticides in the planting and growing the crop (Bosworth, 2016). It will be supporting to protect human health. The use of advanced technological machinery would enhance the production level and profitability of the farmers. The production of milk with machinery will increase organic production, and it will be used for dairy items. It will develop the economic growth of the country as milk production is highly beneficial for any country (Mason, 2008). The implementation of new technology will be supportive for farmers to reduce overall cost and save natural resources of the country like water. It would make the environment sustainable. In this concern, farmers can improve their knowledge about new technology from different internet sources and implement smart farming in the field (System, 2015).
In conclusion, it can be said that the use of innovative technology is also supportive of enhancing the production of farming and crop. Smart agriculture is beneficial for the overall economy of the country as well as environmental protection. The organic food production is supportive of protecting the health of human beings as well as environmental protection.
