The aim and purpose of the study are to determine the social effects relating to parental divorce in society. The extent is to understand factors relating to the moral judgment of freshmen and students of Sophomores College in related social activities.

To achieve the rationale of the study the study desired to collect a rational sample size from the population to determine the effects of parental divorce among students in Sophomores College. Thus, the study incorporated 337 students from the school, with 274 being female students and 63 male students of the College. The success of research results developed the age range of the sample to be of the age between 18 and 21 years old. Participants in the research aimed at gathering information from the United States of America, especially from southeastern regions. As a result, moving a period prior to College equips the student to cope with an environment away from the original home. However, low moral judgment among freshmen is attributed to coming from a divorced family background (Collin, 2014). Nevertheless, the findings from the study tend to contradict observation and findings, as presented by Kogos and Snarly in 1995. The previous research finding relating to divorce cases to contribute to higher moral score among 143 freshmen that participated in the research.

The rationale of the research and development provide the basis of improving the methods and structures used in the research. Thus, developments of future research on the effects of parental divorce need to increase the number of participants. The approach is to increase the overall number of female participants and male participants as the sample size from the desired population. The desire for an increasing sample size is to enhance the values of research findings (Collin, 2014). As a result, the research will be in a position to determine the effects and impacts of parental divorce. The rationale of finding is to influence the understanding of how parental divorce and moving on has an impact on the performance of college students.

Determination on the impacts of parental divorce cases among students is essential to school management and respective administrative roles. The institution can use the data obtained to group students in a rational manner to improve social participation. These include grouping learners from divorced families to improve social interaction and experience. The mechanism is essential in helping the affected student to cope with the new environment (Collin, 2014). These can be achieved through the provision of moral supporting programs to encourage students’ activities and respective social roles. The ultimate outcomes demonstrate the ability of colleges to handle issues affecting students with the desire to improve and enhancing academic performance.
