Statement of purpose for nanotechnology master graduate
I began my association with computers long before the students of my caliper could think of it. However, when I entered my post graduate career in the university, I had no or a little idea of the direction I was heading to. I therefore decided to join the department of nanotechnology and chemical engineering because I had a venerable interest of it and the strength required to tackle it. In addition, I was inspired by the role that engineers play in our daily lives. My professor who was also my advisor in the field of engineering introduced me into chemistry during summer after my first year by delegating me a responsibility as a post graduate researcher. I never delayed in seizing the position, took it as golden chance to put together my personal experiences from various departments.
The professor initially gave me a position as a result of my course work in chemistry and analysis of numerical data. All these were beyond the capability of the curriculum of fresh students. Since then, I have attempted to enroll in classes which I felt could adequately prepare me for my future studies in studying such topics. With my graduate courses which I successfully completed form a foundation in which my solid background makes me well prepared to contribute positively into universities program me. With the reference to the position I was offered in summer as well as my course work, I have been able to accumulate a viable research experience in nanotechnology and chemical engineering. I have spent my time in implementing the ideas that I got in the field. I have worked both as an individual and as a team of graduate students and my faculty under supervision of my professor.
With my parents being my mentors, the raised me well and shaded light on the imaginations of the wonders of science in my mind. I would share my knowledge with other students in physical sciences and mathematics. There are demands of the currents world’s technology which include automation, parameter optimization, flexibility and controlled flow. Embedded systems and designing of Very Large Integrated Circuits could provide a solution to these demands which is economic efficiency (Askhart). As my career concern, I want to develop an exceptional competence in nanotechnology and chemical engineering through development of technological tools which could help in the measurement and tolerance of nanometers whose dimensions are less than 100 and manipulation of individual molecules.
Through studying in this university, I hope to attain professional skills and a broader education in my chosen career. Most important, to learn how to implement these practices in the real world for its betterment. I have confidence that will enable me to cope with academic necessities at the university and conduct a successful research in the field of nanotechnology.
Obviously, my final objective in academics is to get a Ph.D. This Ph.D. would leave me sound equipped for any postgraduate activities in any field either corporate or academic. Despite the fact that joining a corporate is very possible, I have an interest of remaining in the academic sector. So far, I have personally enjoyed my study encounters greatly. My center of attention on construction of powerful basics in chemistry and nanotechnology during my undergraduate studies has accorded me an exclusive position of capabilities to offer to the University’s graduate plan. All along, it has been my urge to ensure that I get prepared adequately for further studies in the Ph.D. curriculum studying methods nanotechnology, mainly in the area of chemistry.
