statement of purpose on my aspirations in the era of Data Analytics
The ensuring statement of purpose is meant to put forth my aspirations in the era of Data Analytics. Data is available through customer’s mobile app usage, digital clicks, interactions on social media and more resources, all contributing to a data fingerprint that is completely unique to its owner. To go more deep into the roots, I want to attend the highest level of education in Data Analytics from your prestigious university which offers a stimulating career prospective, tremendously enabling the engineers to go deep into the roots of data sciences.
Data Analytics has an existence since very long time and has evolved with availability of newer and better technologies. Demand for graduates with technical skills in analysing big data sets, as well as strong business acumen, is by far increasing. I look forward to pursue my Masters abroad. During my research on multiple options available abroad, I found that University of Sheffield in the UK offers one of the best courses for Masters in Data Analytics through which I would not only upgrade my technical skills and expertise but also the interaction with various candidates belonging to various communities would add to my overall personality. I strongly believe that the guidance of experienced teaching faculty at Sheffield will help me to pursue a career in the in the field of Data Analytics.
My undergraduate education at Saraswati College of Engineering affiliated to Mumbai University has assisted me to explore wide range of an outstanding subjects in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. Even though my undergraduate degree was in Telecommunications, I am deeply interested in the field of Data Sciences and its unique applications. I would like to use all the knowledge gathered through this programme for the betterment of the agricultural sector in my country. As agriculture is the main source of livelihood for a majority of Indian population, it still stands as a technologically backward sector. From production challenges to financing inefficiencies, Indian Agriculture is plagued by several issues. One of the major reasons behind the awful condition of the Indian farmers is the lack of information services to provide basic insights. Data recorded in real-time can be the major key to solving most of the current agricultural issues. Since Data Analysis is all about inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modelling data with the goal of discovering useful information, it would broaden my horizons to apply these advance techniques in the technology deficient agricultural sector in my country.
I have secured decent academic score throughout all my Bachelor programme. “Segaboard” an electrically powered two wheeler with app control and Bluetooth lock system was my B.E. project. This design-oriented project enabled me to explore the fields of both Electronics and Computer Programming. I presented a Paper Presentation at International level. It has given me an immense pleasure and boosted me with technical skills. I have completed one Internship with the Indian Railways during my third academic year. Participation in project competitions and various workshops, several training at various universities has inculcated organisational and technical skills. I had the privilege of working as the Head of Photography for my college. I have served my college as a volunteer during tech-fest and inter-collegiate activities selflessly. This experiences enthusiastic me to work with new people. I successfully managed to maintain a balance between my academics and extra-curricular activities, helped me to build an outstanding personality. To propel myself further in the field of Data Analytics, I am pursuing online courses training in Python, R programming and SAS, respectively.
