Stress is the feeling of being under a lot of emotional and mental pressure. Health of the body, behavior and feeling of a person can be affected by stress. Managing stress symptoms require one to be able to recognize stress symptoms which are common. Unchecked stress can led to health complications which include heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity.
When managing stress you start to identify the source of your stress. Some sources are not obvious as they may seem. Evaluate your cause of stress by looking at your attitudes, habits and excuses (James 26). When managing stress you should learn how to say “no” by making sure you know your limits and stick to your limits whether in professional or personal life, you can avoid stress by keeping away from peoples who cause stress in your life you can’t turn the relationship around but by reducing the time you are together with that person also you can either end relationship with the individual, taking care of the environment is another way one candle stress, if u get upset by things like politics or religions avoid them by turning off the conversation and also stress can be managed by analyzing your responsibility, schedule and task of daily distinguish them the must and should be done. Just leave the ones that are necessary in the list of the task.
There are many possible causes of depression which includes brain chemicals, genetics and situations of life. Risk of developing depression may be increased by chronic stressful situation in life if individual is not coping well with the stress. Stress is normal physical and psychological reaction to negative or positive situation in life such as loss of loved ones or jobs. Having knowledge about psychological mechanism the way stress causes depression provides a good way to handle stress. This is significant for individuals who have experienced episode of depression and want to take control of relapse.
The relationship that exist between stress and illness are complex. Stress susceptibility varies in individuals. Factors affecting susceptibility of stress are coping style, social support, vulnerability and also personality of an individual. There are different health problem associated with stress which include heart diseases where stress can increases blood flow heart rate and cause triglycerides and cholesterol release into the blood stream, asthma is another condition that maybe caused by stress which maybe asthma to children due to chronic stress from the parents, obesity is another condition that can be caused by stress which is excess fat in the belly than fat in the hips and legs. Stress causes body to release cortisol hormone that increase amount of fat in abdomen (Sood 45).
Diabetes it’s another condition which stress worsen it by unhealthy eating and drinking excessively. Anxiety and depression is related to chronic stress an also gastrointestinal problems where stress worsen ulcers. Stress is the main factor in gastrointestinal conditions, like irritable bowel and heartburn. Alzheimer’s disease maybe worsened by stress leading to its brain lesion where they form in a quicker way. Researchers says that reducing stress can reduce the progression of the disease. Accelerated aging can be cause by stress where it may be affecting some of the chromosomes. Individuals with mental problems, which includes depression takes antidepressants but the drug are associated with increased effect of subsequent relapse. Prescribing drug of mental health patient is easy, it may not be the most effective and safest route for patient.
