TEGV Assesses its Performance & Impact
This is the most respected and largest non-profitable organization in turkey, which is used to trace the evolution of thinking and the implementation of assessment. It is called the Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey and delivers broad arrays used in educational enrichment for those low-income children living in turkey. Its own merits embraced its performance. The company is independent and mission-oriented.
The organization provided regular activities and educational programming to students and the programs were administered to students according to their grade level. The regular activities were done two hours a week. There was art- language-communication, which aimed at providing the children with opportunities to communicate with their surroundings using physical communication methods and audio-visual method. It aimed at clearing a better relationship between various forms of arts and other disciplines. These include little arts, drama workshops; I read I play and dreams workshop.
The organization also provided personal development- social value areas, which aimed at raising awareness to children about ways of improving themselves and the quality of life both psychologically and physically. The child was expected to be aware of the political, economic, and social aspects of their environment to help them become responsible and productive members of the community. They included activities like young shirts, sports fun, basketball volunteers, citizenship education, health development, the journey to financial education project, and myself. TEGV also provided cognitive – intellectual area, which aimed at supporting the children in becoming individuals who are curious about the universe, earth and nature and science and technology literate, very creative and critical (Oral, 2006) The activities under this were the Lego robot, thinking children, math science and I and technology and computer literacy program.
Recommendation I will present to Suat Kardas the assessment should be done daily, and that small groups should be interviewed to attain the best results. Besides, they should also provide education to adults who did not have the privilege to get proper training free.
