The accelerated expansion of clinical knowledge and the changing dynamics in the health care industry
The accelerated expansion of clinical knowledge and the changing dynamics in the health care industry, mandates all the practicing professionals to possess educational prowess equal to the responsibilities given to them. Due to the shift from hospital-based, inpatient health care to more primary and preventive methods of health care in the society, the industry now demands registered practitioners who are more flexible and can work more independently in clinical decision making, case handling, guiding patients, direct bedside care, support and supervision of unlicensed practitioners and providing education to patients and other colleagues on treatments methods and resources, and importance’s of adopting healthy lifestyles (Evans, L. K., and N. E. Strumpf). The research paper below has been prepared in light of this needs, in particular, the cases of entry-level professional practitioners who require high orientation to the community-based primary supportive healthcare, as well as accents on health care improvement, management, and cost-effective, coordinated frameworks (Curran, C. R). For the nurses with a baccalaureate degree, unlike other graduates with associate- degree nursing courses or diplomas, they are prepared to handle all settings in health care- outpatient and inpatient care, neighborhood mobile clinics, public and mental health, as well as critical care. Due to the increase in the number of hospitals and health care centers nationwide, these nurses have proved to be a significant asset for their different educational qualifications and competency from the other entry-level professionals. From these different practice frameworks, we learn that BSN nurses provide more complex aspects of daily health care and also design and manage a comprehensive framework for the care required for the entire period of treatment.
A proper application of such importance was the case of one Bonnie Sturgeon, who was an independent 80 years old lady living by herself and had lived with the condition of breath shortness for long (Amyleigh Overton-McCoy, PhD, GNP-BC, RN). She used to attend St. Michael Health System in Texas and met Amy Leigh, who was an active geriatrics practitioner. After continued interviewing, Amyleigh discovered that she suffered from blocked arteries and had suffered several heart attacks, and she recommended her for a coronary artery grafting procedure. Due to his affiliation with Donald W. Reynolds institute of Aging for medical sciences, the clinic has two straight service components (Curran, C. R). The team, which consists of a geriatrician, a social worker, and an advanced registered nurse, are mandated with providing health care services to all the mobile centers on aging, which are managed and controlled by the local hospitals (Amyleigh Overton-McCoy, PhD, GNP-BC, RN). The team is guided and regulated by the advanced practitioners (APRN), who give advice and overlooks on its operations, as it follows on its patients across all settings- from the clinics to the nursing homes, by the requirements.
On the other hand, the education components of the framework are supported by the tobacco settlement funds, which mostly proved to target the entry-level nurses, other professionals, and students. Communication between a nurse and a patient is based on strong interpersonal relationships since they facilitate efficiency in job delivery and giving patients a sense of connection (Curran, C. R). Practitioners are encouraged to foster active, open-minded communication strategies between the patients to help create secure links with the patients. Some of the sources listed below have been a great asset in establishing a strong basis for research on the field of medical sciences and mostly the ageing studies.
