The Bigfoot is a name given to a human-like animal that was discovered sixty years back when it first appeared in public. From the name, we all have an idea of what a Bigfoot animal would look like. The animal had gigantic footprints that were reported to be first seen by workers on a road that was under construction. The construction workers said that the footprints looked precisely like human prints only that they were strangely significant. The animal was named Bigfoot by the newspaper “northern California” who published an article about the puzzling animal. Since then, the animal has remained in American history even to date.

The imagination of the Bigfoot is often seen in several documentaries on whether the story of Bigfoot is fake or authentic. The creativity of Bigfoot has also been used significantly to produce films for children. Several animations have used Bigfoot as a character in their stories. There is also a popular series “finding bigfoot” which has premiered 11 seasons.   Several research organizations aim at finding similar cases to the Bigfoot prints or Bigfoot. Recently there was a case in the city of Florida where a woman reported to have seen an enormous creature resembling the Bigfoot. People have also reported hearing noises supposedly made by Bigfoot or even nests that belong to him. Due to the imagination of Bigfoot, people have said all sorts of illusion in relevance to finding Bigfoot.

The evidence of Bigfoot in America contains the video clip of roughly four minutes recorded by bob Gimlin and Roger Patterson in October 1967. The video shows proof of a vast and hairy animal walking like a human being. Bob Gimlin says, “we were just riding out alongside the creek, riding along enjoying the warm sunshine day, then across the creek, there was one standing. Everything happened so fast” describing what happened when they saw Bigfoot and recorded the creature on camera. This is regarded to be the best and extraordinary evidence to be presented up to date. The evidence was recorded from a place where a man by the name ray Wallace had planted false footprints the north of California to trick people into believing Bigfoot was there. After the death of ray Wallace is was discovered that the prints seen were fake. Rays children reported that the footprints were “just a joke” and that it was their dad’s prank the only valid evidence remaining that of the film recorded by bob and roger.

People who do not believe that particular creatures exist suggested that the beast in the video was just a man in an animal-like costume. I would refer to these people as the non-believers of Bigfoot. The non-believers also argue that the video was not authentic since it was recorded the same place where ray Wallace had staged his prank. The people who believe that Bigfoot existed say that the kind of movements made by the creature in the animal does not resemble human actions in any way. The non-believers and those who believe have had this debate arguing on whether Bigfoot existed or not. Benjamin Radford, who is a member of a research team for Bigfoot, explains, “how is it that the evidence has not gotten any better despite the exponential increase in the quantity and quality of cameras?”

The lack of tangible evidence on the existence of Bigfoot does not mean that he did not exist. It is not that easy to capture wild animals on camera, especially those that belong deep in the woods. Though the diminishing forests worldwide keep revealing more mysterious animals that people never knew they exist. An example is the saola, which is supposedly a member of the cow family found in Vietnam in the year 1992. The non-believers of the Bigfoot should know that saola was never recorded on camera, but it exists due to people’s imagination. The same people should be able to believe in the existence of the Bigfoot. A writer by the name Naish wrote an article about Bigfoot suggesting that Bigfoot does not represent the realism in zoology but the cultural view of human beings.

Several cultures in America have oral stories that have been written down describing various strange creatures they have encountered.in these stories; the animals resemble humans or the apes. The existence of other human-like creatures in other communities shows the realism in the life of Bigfoot. In today’s generation, people love and appreciate Bigfoot as a fictional character in most stories and movies. There are also pictures drawn by the yokut community in California that present an image of a family of gigantic creatures described to have long unkempt hair known as “Mayak datat.” The beast in the picture resembles Bigfoot providing proof of Bigfoot existence.in the book ‘giants, cannibals & Monsters: Bigfoot in native culture,’ the author Kathy Moskowitz strain says that “some tribes love Bigfoot; they have a great relationship with him.” She also says, “to other tribes like the Miwoks; he’s an absolute ogre, a monster, and something best left alone.” The author also says that most tribesmen believe Bigfoot still exists, and he walks amongst us.

Due to the continued search of Bigfoot there has been an issue of people uploading fake news regarding Bigfoot and more tricks. The whereabouts of Bigfoot are not known till to date. Social media has contributed significantly to the spread of fake news regarding Bigfoot. “Technology has ruined old cryptozoology,” says Coleman. He is the person behind in charge of the international cryptozoology museum in Maine, Portland. Coleman explains how technology and social media has worsened the spread of fake news. Coleman also believes that real evidence for the existence of Bigfoot exists, and that is what people should be focused on finding. According to internet sources, Bigfoot has a better habitat compared to forests in the north of America. This shows proof of the existence of Bigfoot though it does not mean that the claim of Bigfoot leaving elsewhere is true.

In conclusion, Bigfoot is a mysterious creature who some people believe exists while the non-believers believe that Bigfoot does not exist. This is a debate that has been going on for decades, and it is not about to end soon unless there is an unquestionable proof of Bigfoot’s existence. I agree with the believers since oral legends have provided enough evidence that there exist creatures that we, as humans, are not aware of. The presence of photographs showing images of giant monsters offers more evidence for the existence of bigfoot.
